The Escambia County High School homecoming parade rolled Friday afternoon, September 16, with floats and trailers bearing alumni and school officials; the ECHS Blue Legion Band marching and playing; and a host of folks along the parade route.
In years past, the weather has often been cooler for homecoming, but then homecoming has sometimes been held later in the year. Last week, the weather was anything but cool. In fact, a number of riders on the floats and trailer held umbrellas, not because of rain but because of the sun.
All in all, it was a good day topped off with a winning ball game.
