Poll workers needed

News Staff Report

Escambia County election officials are looking for individuals to serve as poll workers at Atmore City Hall, Atmore Public Library and the Wallace voting site during the November 8 General Election.
The Judge of Probate Office will conduct a 90-minute training session that all prospective poll workers will be required to attend. Anyone taking the position will need to arrive at his or her assigned polling location by 6:30 a.m. and will need to be there until 7:30 p.m.
Further, each poll worker must also be a registered voter in the State of Alabama and in Escambia County and cannot be a member of a candidate’s immediate family or the second degree of kinship, or a member of a candidate’s political committee.
The pay for poll worker is $125.
Anyone meeting those qualifications who is interested in serving as a poll worker, or anyone with further questions, should contact Chief Elections Clerk Natalie Rodgers at 251-867-0201.
