Samford offering two new courses at FBC

The Ministry Training Institute of Samford University is offering two new courses at First Baptist Church in Atmore.
The Book of Romans is the subject of the term beginning August 22 and ending October 10. Classes are held Monday nights at 6 p.m.
The book of Romans contains some of the richest theological truths regarding the doctrine of salvation than any other book in Scripture. It is a treasure trove of theological gems about grace, faith, righteousness, and justification. Some of the greatest theological minds in history trace their salvation back to reading Paul’s letter to the Romans. In this course, students will come to understand salvation through faith in Christ alone and the eternal truths surrounding that decision. NOTE: This location will offer Zoom as an alternative for attending class.
Instructor is the Rev. Jonathan Hill, pastor of Little Escambia Baptist Church.
The Doctrine of Heaven is the subject of the term beginning October 24 and ending December 12. Classes are held Monday nights at 6 p.m.
There are rampant misunderstandings in the culture today related to heaven. Who will be there? What will everyone do in heaven? Will people recognize one another and what will everyone look like?
This course is designed to help participants construct a biblical understanding of eternity through examining what the Bible says about heaven.
NOTE: This location will offer Zoom as an alternative for attending class.
The instructor is the Rev. Jeff Edwards, pastor of Catawba Springs Baptist Church.
