Celebrating 93
American Legion Post 90 Chaplain Jack Wright celebrated his 93rd birthday last week at the Legion hall. Adjutant Paul Chason said, Jack celebrated “93 years of wisdom.”
Accepting the challenge
Pastor Rickey Tedder at New Life Assembly challenged the church to raise $1,000 or more for the Women’s Resource Center in Atmore. The church responded and raised a little more than the goal. At the June 21 meeting, American Legion Commander Dave Graham, left, presented a certificate of appreciation to Billy Elder, right, for this work with the Boys State program this year. In addition to chairing the Boys State program, Elder serves as Legion first vice commander.
