Dorene Margaret Love
Mrs. Dorene Margaret Love, age 73, of Murfreesboro, Tenn., formally of Molino, Fla., passed away Sunday, June 5, 2022 in Atmore, Ala. She was born in Albion, Mich. to the late Paul and Cora Edler Smeltzer. She was a Paraeducator at Riverdale High School and a member of River Rock Baptist Church in Murfreesboro. She was a former member and Sunday school teacher at Highland Baptist Church and previously owned Molino Feed and Supply. She was a loving and kind person. She was known as grandma love, granny love, grammy love, pop love, momma love, and mother love by all that knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ronald Love; her twin sister, Diane Marie Cline and her brother, Paul Smeltzer, Jr.
Mrs. Love is survived by her sons, Ronald D. (Summer) Love of Molino, John (Melanie) Love of Hamilton, Ohio, Daniel (Christin) Love of Atmore and Benjamin (Alexander) Love of Pace, Fla.; her daughters, Elizabeth “Honey” Love (Chris) Davenport of Murfreesboro, Rebecca (Aaron) Love-Kirkland of Loxley, Ala. and Faith Love (Brandon) Vollers of Beulah, Fla.; her brother, Lawrence “Buddy” Smeltzer of Coldwater, Mich.; her sisters, Barbara Jacobs and Cora Angell, both of Homer, Mich. along with twenty-four grandchildren and many friends and family.
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 10, 2022 at 3 p.m. at Highland Baptist Church in Molino with Bro. Willie Davenport and Bro. Mark Torres officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Baptist Church Cemetery in Molino.
Active pallbearers will be Ron Love, John Love, Daniel Love, Benjamin Love, Caleb Davenport, Caden Davenport, Bryson Love and Vincent Kirkland.
Honorary pallbearers will be Chris Davenport, Aaron Kirkland, Brandon Vollers and Alexander Love.
The family will receive friends Friday, June 10, 2022 from 2 p.m. until service time at 3 p.m. at Highland Baptist Church.
The family request flowers to be delivered to Highland Baptist Church.
There will be a Celebration of Life at a later date in Murfreesboro.

David Martin Hadley
Mr. David Martin Hadley, age 63, passed away Monday, June 6, 2022 in Atmore, Ala. He was a lifelong resident of Atmore.He enjoyed shooting pool, Nascar racing, as well as vintage automobiles.
He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Hadley.
Mr. Hadley is survived by his mother, Mazie Hadley of Atmore; his loving wife of twenty-nine years, Linda Hadley of Atmore; one son, Charlie (Samantha) Hadley, of Pensacola, Fla.; one grandchild, Kristie Hadley; two great-grandchildren, Khloe Hadley, Kallie Hadley, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 9, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home, LLC with Rev. Doug Odom officiating. Burial will follow at Uriah Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Thursday, June 9, 2022 from 10 a.m. until service time at 11 am. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home, LLC.

Bruce Wayne Coombs
Mr. Bruce Wayne Coombs of Winter Garden, Fla., passed away Friday, June 3, 2022. He was a volunteer at Windermere Equestrian Center in Windermere, Fla.
Mr. Coombs is survived by his sister, Renee (Tom) Wolfe of Atmore, Ala. and his mother, Faye Coombs of Robertsdale, Ala.
Funeral services will be held this Saturday, June 11, 2022 at 11 a.m. at West Orange Church of Christ, Winter Garden, Fla.

Era Lee Smith
Mrs. Era Lee Smith, age 82, of Omaha, Neb., formerly of Atmore, Ala., passed away Saturday, June 4, 2022.

Mrs. Johnnia Frank German
Mrs. Johnnia Frank German, age 89, passed away Saturday, June 11, 2022 in Perdido, Ala. She was a lifelong pillar of the Perdido community, where she will be greatly missed. She was a retired home health care worker. She was the matriarch of her family, and we thank God for her life.
Mrs. German was a lifelong standing member of Saint Thomas A.M.E Zion Methodist Church in Perdido, as her own mother, Leatha A. Brown, helped to establish the original church many years ago when she was a child. She was also an honorary deaconess and member of Morning Dove Baptist Church in Perdido.
Mrs. German was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Mrs. German is survived by eight children: Eddie (Annie) German of Perdido, AL; Terry “Ted” (Brenda) German of Trinity, TX; William “Billy” (Paulette) German of Atmore, AL; Thelia (Simon) Mead of Waldorf, MD; Paulette (Eddie~Deceased) Jones, Sharron (Elliot) Turner, Pamela German Grace, Renee (Darius) Williams, all of Montgomery, AL; and, a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The Visitation Service will be held on Friday, June 17, 2022 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Mayberry Funeral Home, 149 Carver Avenue, Atmore, AL. The Funeral Service and Repast will be held on Saturday, June 18, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Morning Dove Baptist Church, 54681 Lottie Road, Perdido, AL. Mayberry Funeral Home of Atmore, AL is in charge of all arrangements.
Robert Starks
Mr. Robert Starks, age 87, of Atmore, Ala., passed away Tuesday, June 7, 2022. He was born in Montgomery, Ala. and was educated in the Montgomery Public School system. He was a retired concrete finisher.
He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents and one brother, June Starks.
Mr. Starks is survived by one daughter, Stephanie (Javaris Williams) Starks; one son, Robert Mario Starks; three grandchildren, Makeal Starks, Wiley Tait and Jaeon Williams; four great-grandchildren; four sisters, Willie Mae Belser, Linda (Joseph) Maigler, Margaret (Farrell) Thomas and Mildred (Bobby) Jefferson, all of Montgomery, Ala.; mother of his children, Christina Marshall of Atmore, Ala.; special friends, Charles Brown and Deacon Al Williams; devoted companion, Willie Mae Sharp and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other friends and relatives.
Funeral services were held Saturday, June 11, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Christian Memorial Funeral Home with Apostle Mary American, officiating Eulogist. Interment followed in Fairview Cemetery.
Pallbearers and floral attendants were his family and friends.

Annie Deloise Miller
Ms. Annie Deloise Miller, age 82, native of Atmore, Ala., resident of Orlando, Fla., passed away Monday, June 13, 2022 at AdventHealth, Orlando.

Willie Mae Roley Wilson
Mrs. Willie Mae “Billie” Roley Wilson, age 87, of Atmore, Ala., passed away Sunday, June 12, 2022 in Columbia, Tenn. She was born in Halls Fork, Ala. to the late Willie Clarence and Mable Alice Johnson Roley.
She was preceded in death by her husband of thirty-eight years, Pella Ray “Bubba” Wilson; her sister, Vivian Roley White and brothers, Clarence Roley and Tommy Roley.
Mrs. Wilson is survived by her son, Jonathan Wilson and wife Tab; three grandchildren, Tate Wilson, Rhett Wilson and Aliza Wilson; her sisters, Mildred Roley Ledkins, Ruth Roley Beasley and brother Donald Roley and wife Debby; many nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, June 16, 2022 at 3:30 p.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery in Atmore with Bro. Dan Morris officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Jonathan Wilson, Tate Wilson, Rhett Wilson, Donald Roley, Steve White and Erik Hooie.
The family will receive friends Thursday, June 16, 2022 from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home in Atmore.

Era Lee Smith
Ms. Era Lee Smith, age 82, of Bellevue, Neb., formerly of Atmore, Ala., passed away in Nebraska with her family Saturday, June 4, 2022. A native of Garland, Ala. she attended school in Garland and she worked for years as a cook in the restaurant industry.
Ms. Smith is survived by her five daughters, Gloria Finklea Bonner, Patricia Williams Walker, and Shirley Finklea, all of Atmore, Chinester Lewiston of Bellevue and Katherine James of Jacksonville, N.C.; one son, General Lee Finklea, Jr. of Atmore; two sisters, Shirley Smith of Huntington, N.Y. and Flossie Pugh of Monroeville, Ala.; fifteen grandchildren and a host of great-children, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
The family will receive friends Friday, June 17, 2022 from 2 – 5 p.m. at the funeral home.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, June 18, 2022 at 2 p.m. at Empowerment Tabernacle Christian Center where Bishop Darryl North is Pastor. Inhumation will follow in Fairview Cemetery.

Sherry Gnell Farmer
Ms. Sherry Gnell Farmer, age 77, of Atmore, Ala., passed away Monday, June 6, 2022 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, Fla. She was a native of Atmore had resided in New York for many years before returning back to Atmore. She had worked as a CNA, as a postal worker for many years. She attended Escambia County Training School and Real Estate Academy in New York City, N.Y. She was a member of Gaines Chapel AME Church. In her leisure time she enjoyed going to yard sales, gardening, watching CSI Miami, scary movies, and fishing.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Farmer and her mother, Cornelia Brooks.
Mrs. Farmer is survived by four daughters, Thereasa Farmer and Sondia Farmer, both of Atmore, Charlene Farmer of Fla. and Janice Farmer of New York; one son, Charles Farmer, Jr. of Florida; three sisters, Waymon Wingate of Atmore, Dorothy Russell of Fairhope and Veronica Brooks of Brooklyn, N.Y.; one brother, Anthony Brooks of Sarasota, Fla.; nine grandchildren; eleven great- grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
