ACF awards grants

The Atmore Community Fund awarded grants Wednesday, May 18, for the 2021-2022 grant cycle.
Recipients are Pride of Atmore, represented by Foster Kizer, Dale Ash, and Cindy Colville; Grace Fellowship, represented by the Rev. Gene King; Atmore Area Christian Care Ministry, represented by Kathleen VanSoest; Atmore Historical Society, represented by Foster Kizer; and We are Family Home Care Services, represented by Patricia Cross.
Members of the ACF Committee attending the grant presentation were Dale Ash, Edie Baker, Emilee Craft, Cindy Colville, Sherry Digmon, Foster Kizer, Audrey Moon (ACF chairwoman), and Shinora Redmond.
Note: Committee members representing entities applying for and receiving grants were not part of the discussion or decision as to the awarding of grants.
Grants funded through the Atmore Community Fund, established by donors, address the most pressing needs and improve the quality of life for citizens in the Atmore community. Priorities are Arts & Culture, Education, Community & Economic Development, Environment / Beautification,; Health / Wellness, Human Services, Recreation, Technology, Youth.
