Geraldine McGhee
Ms. Geraldine McGhee, age 73, passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at her home in Poarch, Ala. She was a lifelong resident of Poarch. She was a proud member of the Poarch Band of Creek Indians and Friendly Holiness Church. She enjoyed going to church and the Sail Center to play Bingo. She was an avid Alabama Football Fan. She enjoyed listening to gospel music, reading her bible, working crossword puzzles, and watching “Me TV” …. Leave It to Beaver!
She was preceded in death by her parents, Obie Lee McGhee and Zollie Mae McGhee and one brother, Aaron McGhee.
Ms. McGhee is survived by her four brothers, Odell (Yvette) McGhee and Maron McGhee, all of Poarch, Melvin (Robin) McGhee of Uriah, Ala. and Delbert (Paula) McGhee of Haines City, Fla; three sisters, Brenda (Terry) Hupp of Middleburg, Fla., Brenda Deal and Linda (Steve) Parrish, all of Winter Haven, Fla.; a loving special family member, Ruth Bailey and special caregiver, Evelyn Dailey; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 23, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Friendly Holiness Church with Rev. Ray Ward officiating. Burial will follow at New Home Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Friday, April 22, 2022 from 6 p.m. until service time Saturday, April 23, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Friendly Holiness Church.

Grace (Mammy) Long
Mrs. Grace Long (Mammy), age 95, of McDavid, Fla. passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2022 in Jay, Fla. She was born in Lakeland, Fla. She was a resident of McDavid most of her life and a member of Christian Home Freewill Baptist Church. As the family matriarch, Mammy’s mission in life was to nurture and feed anyone who came to visit. She was loved and will be remembered and dearly missed.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Tommie Dew Long; parents, Louis Brown and Ruth Pauline Townson Brown and her siblings Paul Brown, Billy Brown and Anna Brown Thomley.
Mrs. Long is survived by one son, Jimmy (RaeAnne) Long of Robertsdale, Ala.; two daughters, Nancy (Ron) Harris of Cantonment, Fla. and Christy (Scobie) Wilcoxon of McDavid; six grandchildren, Jimmy Long, Jr, Monica Johnson, Lisette Brester, Charlene Stanton, Ashley Jacobi, Kinsey Milner; twelve great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at Christian Home Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery at 12 p.m. with Rev. Willie Oglesbee presiding.

Mrs. Maybelline A. Boatwright, age 60, of Atmore, Ala. passed away Monday April 18, 2022 in Atmore. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Atmore.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Marshall Boatwright.
Mrs. Boatwright is survived by a special friend, Clara “Sissy” Phillips; her sister, Mary Ann Ida of Wisc. and other siblings along with many friends and family.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, April 28, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church of Atmore with Rev. Jim Thorpe officiating.

Robert Earl Moye
Mr. Robert Earl Moye, age 73, passed away in Atlanta, Ga. Monday, April 18, 2022. He was born in Atmore, Ala. to Alfred and Lillian Marie Moye. He served in the United States Army during Vietnam and later was the Manager of Middleton Oil.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Mr. Moye is survived by his wife, Zhi Xiu Chen; his sons, Rodney (Bonnie) Moye of Orlando, Fla. and Steven Moye of Atmore; his daughters, Kimberly Moye (Ryan Holder) of Atmore and Annie Chen Moye of Auburn, Ala.; his brother, Wiley Moye of Atmore; his grandchildren, Skyler Moye, McKenzie Moye and Bindi Moye along with many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, April 30, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Sardis Baptist Church Cemetery with Bro. Earl Greene officiating. Interment will follow at Sardis Baptist Church Cemetery.

Arleen King Bush
Mrs. Arleen King Bush, age 59, a resident of Pensacola, Fla., passed away Saturday, April 23, 2022. She was a retired LPN and records clerk at the Navy Hospital with many years of service. She was a member of Milestone Church of Christ. She loved all the family get-togethers, and her dog, Jimmy Dean. She enjoyed going to church and singing.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Claudell and Mavis King,; two young sons, Tommy Wayne White and James Michael White; one sister, Debra Elaine King; grandparents, William Huie and Pencie Bass Huie and father-in-law, Charles Bush.
Mrs. Bush is survived by her loving husband of nineteen years, Greg Bush, of Cantonment, Fla.; her twin sister, Darlene (Bobby) Jernigan; sister, Vanessa Walker (Ricky Gibson); mother-in-law, Cathryn Bush of Cantonment; sister-in-law, Brenda (Randy) Brantley of Pensacola; aunts, cousins, numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at 1 p.m. at Ray’s Chapel Baptist Church with her nephew Bro. Ray Brantley officiating. Burial will follow at Ray’s Chapel Cemetery.

Mr. James Rivers, age 65, of Atmore, Ala., passed away Monday, April 18, 2022 at his home. He was born to Mose Rivers and Carrie Mae Rivers in Robertsdale, Ala. He was a proud graduate of the Escambia County Training School. He began his Christian experience at Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, James Blunt; sisters, Mary F. Hall, Iolar Tucker, Ceolar Rivers and Lillie Ruth Wiggins; one brother, Robert Rivers; three nephews, Mack Dwayne Hall, Markay Rivers and Nate Wiggins; two nieces, La’Constance Rivers and Diann Wiggins.
Mr. Rivers is survived by his loving wife, Brenda Rivers; one daughter, Vivian (Darron Jones) Blount; one bonus child, Tyeisha Hall; mother-in-law, Isiaphene Magee; siblings, Charles Brown, Carolyn Rivers, Willie (Pearl) Brown, Milton Rivers, Jerry (Nancy) Thicklin, Terry Riley, Ray Charles and Mrs. Queta Riley; grandchildren, Deandra (Alexis) Blount and Janecia; great-grandchildren, Blount, Keaden Blount and Joyce Blount; special nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, Billie Ridgeway, Robert Poole, Keith Brooks, Buddy G. Richard Anderson, SGT. Cody Rivers and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday, April 23, 2022 at 2 p.m. at Destiny Worship Center with Dr. Bernard Bishop, Host Pastor and Rev. Willie C. Harris, Eulogist. Interment followed in Fairview Cemetery.
