The Pride of Atmore has received a grant for $5,000 from the Alabama Civil Justice Foundation (ACJF), a statewide grantmaking foundation supported by lawyers from across the state.
POA member Dale Ash said this donation would not have been possible without Atmore attorney Charles Godwin, who make the group aware of the grant. He also submitted a letter of endorsement to ACJF, among his other fundraising efforts for POA. The check presentation was held Thursday, February 17. Mr. Godwin was represented by his wife, Linda.
“We are proud to invest in local communities through our grants program to strengthen our state. Many nonprofits look to us for vitally important funding which is why it is gratifying to know that we are able to fund large and small projects to touch so many lives,” ACJF Executive Director Nikki Tucker Davis said.
Since 1992, ACJF has awarded nearly $15 million to nonprofit organizations whose programs and services assist communities, children, families and seniors.
ACJF’s grants are possible because of the generosity of Alabama lawyers who work diligently for justice in the courtroom and their communities. ACJF is proud to represent attorneys who support its efforts to demonstrate a genuine concern for the disadvantaged in the state and to assist in turning this concern into genuine help for those who need it the most.
