On Wednesday, December 8, Progressive Civic & Recreational Club, Inc. distributed turkeys to needy families in the Atmore area.
PCRC serves the community by assisting the elderly in need, sponsoring scholarships to graduating high school seniors, donating to the food bank, giving baskets to the needy, honoring a Mother and Father of the Year, and sponsoring youth teams in basketball and baseball, just to name a few of the projects.
The distribution of turkeys and the success of the other projects would not be possible without the support of the members and the community.
PCRC organization is (501c-3) and nonprofit.
Ida Brown Coger serves as PCRC president. Herbert Payne is secretary.
