John Fredrick Calvert
Mr. John Fredrick Calvert, age 76, Haleyville, Ala. passed away Saturday, October 30, 2021. He was born to Ellis and Lyda Calvert in Good Hope, Ala. He played interior Line Positions for the University of Alabama Football Team from 1963-1966, where he was part of the S.E.C. Championship Teams in 1964, 1965, 1966 and National Championship Teams in 1964 and 1965. He settled in as an Offensive Guard in 1965 and was an All-SEC Performer for the 1966 Team, that was “Undefeated, Untied and Uncrowned” for Paul “Bear” Bryant.
He moved his family to Haleyville, AL. to begin a career in the Mobile Home Industry. He settled his family there and lived out his days at the house he built in the Briarwood Subdivision in 1971 until the day he died.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ellis Cannon Calvert and Lyda Blalock Calvert; sister, Nancy Lee Calvert; brother, James Ellis Calvert.
Mr. Calvert is survived by his wife, Susan Staff Calvert; children, John Fredrick Calvert, Jr. Susan “Buffy” Calvert York, her husband Timothy Wayne York; sister, Barbara Calvert Phillips; grandsons, Judson King Stewart, Jr. and John “Jack” Fredrick Calvert, III; granddaughters, Alice McLean Stewart, Anne Romberg York and Virginia Rains York.
The family received friends Tuesday, November 2, 2021 from 10 a.m. until Noon at First Baptist church in Haleyville, Ala. Memorial services followed at noon in the church with his son-in-law, Timothy Wayne York giving the Eulogy and Bro. Nathan Carroll officiating.

Charles W. Rutherford
Mr. Charles W. Rutherford, age 89, passed away Wednesday, November 3, 2021 in Atmore, Ala. He was born in Atmore. to Curry Webster and Mattie Lambert Rutherford. He retired as Fire Chief from the City of Atmore after forty-five years of service. After retiring, he served as a Dispatcher with Poarch Police Department.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two children, Wayne Rutherford and Terri Anderson; his siblings, Opal Faircloth, Gene Rutherford, Luree Spence, Clarence Rutherford and Bill Rutherford.
Mr. Rutherford is survived by his wife of forty-one years, Deborah Maddox Rutherford; his daughter, Kristina Rutherford of Atmore; his brother, Dale (Brenda) Rutherford of Atmore; his sister, Glenda (Autrey) Ziglar of Robinsonville, Ala.; his grandchildren, Chris Rutherford, Brandi Rutherford, Elijah Kimbrel, Noah Kimbrel and Makennah Kimbrel along with his great grandchildren, Wyatt Rutherford, Melea Graham, Rowdy Rutherford and Sophia Rutherford.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 6, 2021 at 2 p.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jerry Gehman officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Atmore.
The family will receive friends Saturday, November 6, 2021 from 12:30 p.m. until service time at 2 p.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home.

Robert Marion “Bobby” Hadley
Mr. Robert Marion “Bobby” Hadley, age 62, a native and resident of Atmore, Ala., passed away Monday, October 25, 2021. He was an exterminator at Baldwin Gulf Coast Pest Control.
He was preceded in death by his father, Airon Hadley; a brother, Johnny Hadley and a grandson, Robert Everett Hadley.
Mr. Hadley is survived by his children, Valisa Lee (Matthew) Lambert of Prattville, Ala. and Robert Shane (Jessica) Hadley of Bay Minette, Ala.; his mother, Sue Hadley of Atmore; one brother, Jimmy (Kathy) Hadley of Atmore and grandchildren, Nevaeh Hadley and Dalton Hadley.
Graveside services and burial were held Sunday, October 31, 2021, at 2 p.m. at Bay Minette Cemetery.
The family received friends Sunday, October 31, 2021, from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. at Norris Funeral Home in Bay Minette.

Erbie “Buddy” Lee White
Mr. Erbie “Buddy” Lee White, age 72, passed away Tuesday, November 2, 2021 in Pensacola, Fla. He was a life-long resident of Flomaton, Ala. He valued the time he got to spend with his family, especially the grandchildren. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and watching Alabama football and Atlanta Braves baseball.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Narvie (Agnes Bell) White, one sister, Earline Howell.
Mr. White is survived by his loving wife of fifty years, Vernia White, of Flomaton; two sons, Kenneth (Brandy) White, of Byrneville, Fla. and Justin White, of Flomaton; one daughter, Candice (Chris) Thornton, of Brewton, Ala.; one brother, Donald Graves, of Gulf Port, Miss.; two sisters, Carolyn Griffin, of Winnfield, La. and Louise Harwell, of Century, Fla.; five grandchildren, Aleigh Thornton, Jayden White, Kinley White, Beckett White, and Brayden White, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, November 7, 2021 at 2:00 PM at the Petty- Eastside Chapel Funeral Home LLC with Rev. Glenn Johnson and Rev. Chip Barbas officiating.

Edmund (Buddy) L. Kyser
Mr. Edmund (Buddy) L. Kyser, age 72, passed away Friday, November 5, 2021 in Atmore, Ala. He was born in Atmore and was a resident there for most of his life. He was a devout member of True Hope Fellowship Church. He loved to take care of his garden, hunt for deer, fix anything that needed to be fixed, and sit out on the patio swing with his dog.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, James Edlow Kyser and Augustine Presley Kyser, both of Atmore and his sister, Betty Kyser Pruitt of Atmore.
Mr. Kyser is survived by his wife, Annette Luker Kyser of Atmore; two sisters, Judy Kyser Young of Foley, Ala. and Joan Kyser Lolley of Mobile, Ala.; one son, Jarrod Edmund Kyser of Atmore; two daughters, Kynda Kyser (Teddy) Walker of Atmore and Sherra Kyser (Michael) Shivers of Dothan, Ala.; three grandchildren, Kalynn Marie Johnson of Atmore, Lani Michell Shivers and Michael Steven Shivers, Jr., both of Dothan.
The family will receive friends Monday, November 8, 2021, at 1 p.m. at Petty Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Monday, November 8, 2021 at 2 p.m. with Bro. Jake Bondurant officiating. The graveside service will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.

Joseph Daniel Terry
Mr. Joseph Daniel Terry, age 71, of Atmore, Ala., passed away Monday, November 8, 2021 in Mobile, Ala. He was born in Century, Fla. to Joseph Walker and Jewel Wise Terry. He was the owner and operator of Terry’s Corner Store.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Mr. Terry is survived by his wife of fifty years, Susan Moore Terry of Atmore; his sons, Joseph Christopher Terry (Kaye Carpenter) and Jonathan Ross Terry, all of Atmore; grandchildren, Laura Grace Terry, Susan Elizabeth Terry, Joseph John Terry and Jorge Walker “J.W.” Terry.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at 2 p.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Henry Wilson officiating. Interment will follow at Judson Cemetery in Poarch, Ala.
