Alabama 21 has been closed in both directions at Oak Hill Cemetery after a violent collision between a tractor-trailer rig and a pickup that occurred around 10 a.m.
Atmore police and fire-rescue personnel, along with ambulance crews, remained on the scene at 10:15 a.m. Alabama state troopers have reportedly been called, also.
Reports are that at least one person has been seriously injured in the crash.
No other details were available as the investigation and rescue operation continued. When details become available, they will be posted to this site and to the Atmore News Facebook page.
