Raiders lose 1st game of the season

The Perdido Raiders’ record for the season is still historically high at 5-1 so far, with 2 games remaining. Their first loss came Thursday, October 7, when St. Michaels held them with a final score of 20-0.
Quarterback Hayden Coley threw for 131 completed yards. Rushing yards were led by Destin Wallace with 22 yards from 1 drive and Roan Branum with 21 yards from 7 drives. Branum also gained a total of 99 yards on receptions. More yards gained on receptions were contributed by Brycen Stewart with 12 yards and Coen Lambeth with 14 yards.
Solid defensive tackles were landed by Hayden Coley, Destin Wallace, Brandon Bryars, Roan Branum, Coen Lambeth, Mitchell Tuberville, Brycen Stewart, Hunter Smith, and Asher Catrett.
Interceptions were caught by Mitchell Tuberville and Destin Wallace.
Calling plays and strategizing until the end were head coach Vincent Coley and assistant coaches Josh Overstreet, Judd Coley, and Chad Lambeth.
The Raiders will take the field again on October 14, facing off for a second time against the Orange Beach Makos at Lyle Underwood Stadium in Bay Minette.
