On Monday, May 17, American Legion member Jack Wright was busy freshening up the crosses in the memorial area behind the American Legion building. For many years, Jack has served as Chaplain of Post 90.
The late Aubrey Stanley named this highland terrier Murphy after one of the most decorated combat soldiers of World War II, Audie Murphy. Aubrey was himself a decorated Air Force combat veteran in Vietnam. Mary Stanley said Murphy’s trainer made this stars and stripes jacket for him.
