10 candidates vie for 3 seats

Three seats – the vice chair and two at-large – are on the ballot for the Poarch Creek Tribal Council election to be held next month.
Incumbent Robbie McGhee is challenged by Anthony Peebles for the tribal vice chair position.
For the two at-large seats, incumbents Sandy Hollinger and Keith Martin have six challengers – Keith Colbert, Helen McGhee Hallman, Jessica Martin, Patrick Strickland, Elma Smith, and Anita Tuel.
Tribal Election Day is set for Saturday, June 5. Polls open at 8 a.m. and close at 7 p.m., at PCI Pickrell house on Pow Wow Grounds.
