The Atmore Lions Club met May 5, in the Mayson Auditorium of Atmore Community Hospital. The meeting was called to order by Lion Candace Wooten who also led the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. Lion Kevin Garrett gave the blessing. Former Thomasville Leo member Shelby Henry was introduced as a guest.
Lion Anne Hetzel was presented the Diamond Centennial Award for recruiting a new member. Lion Bub Gideons gave a report on the Multi District Convention which was recently held virtually. He announced that the next state convention will be held in Atmore next year April 29 through May 1, 2022.
A leadership conference, which is open to all members, will be held July 31 at Faulkner University in Montgomery. July 21 will be our opportunity to serve at Camp Seale Harris. Lion Renee Hardy volunteered to have more Lions Club aprons ready for that event.
