Prima Girl forming in Atmore

Application deadline is Saturday

A new faith-based mentoring program is forming to provide young ladies – ages 12 to 21 – with “tools and resources to build confidence, value and find their inherent strength and purpose.”
Prima Girl is a six-month program designed to teach young ladies how to become empowered, independent, successful women. The program is taught by mental health and guidance counselors with over 35 years of experience combined.
The curriculum will be evidence-based and experiential in nature. A time of prayer and devotion will also be incorporated into the meetings.
Sessions include Life Skills, Financial Literacy, Community Service, Leadership Development, and College and Career Readiness. The final session will be a Prima Girl Pinning Ceremony.
Members of the Prima Girl Team are Nicole Jones, Marlo Young, and Cordia Coleman-Lee.
The weekly meetings will be held at Grace Fellowship Church, 1412 E. Nashville Avenue, Atmore.
Sessions begin June 1. Application deadline is May 15. Contact information is 408-682-0531 primagirlal @gmail.com; P O Box 1905, Bay Minette AL 36507.
