Deloris Ann Kelley
Ms. Deloris Ann Kelley, age 80, passed away Monday, April 19, 2021 in Atmore, Ala. She was born in Atmore. She was most affectionately known as “Nanny” to most. She was a proud member of Atmore Apostolic Church. She loved the Lord with all her heart and strived to share that love with everyone around her. She was also a member of the Poarch Band of Creek Indians. Her favorite pastimes included shopping, fishing, eating crawfish, and game nights with her loved ones. She will forever be cherished and adored by those who had the privilege of knowing the strong, faithful, and devoted woman.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Carl Mothershed; second husband, Jerry Kelley; her parents, Levi and Treacy McGhee; two brothers, Fred L. McGhee and Leo McGhee; seven sisters, Carly Dalrymple, Imogene Sheets, Martha Wilson, Velma Crocker, Myrtis Kinman, Eva Nell Burkett, and Donna White.
Ms. Kelley is survived by two daughters, Beverly (Nate) Holcomb of Atmore, and Sandra (Robert) Towson of Pace, Fla; one son, Arthur (Samantha) Mothershed of Atmore; seven grandchildren, John English and Jessica Martin, Alexis and Blake Towson, Katie Mothershed, Shelley (John Tyler) Pierce and Kamryn Mothershed; six great-grandchildren, Makenzie, Layton and Kaison Martin, Colbie and Cara English, and Jo Pierce; three sisters, Helen Hallman, Eldnar McGhee, and Judy McGhee, all of Atmore and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Thursday, April 22, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Atmore Apostolic Church with Rev. Tim James officiating. Burial followed at New Home Cemetery.
The family received friends Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at 6 p.m. until service time Thursday April 22, 2021 at 11 a.m. at the Atmore Apostolic Church.
Pallbearers were John English, Blake Towson, David Kinman, Scott Jackson, Ryan Exum and Derrick McGhee.
Honorary pallbearers were Greg McGhee, Mike McGhee, Chris Manning, Junior Manning, Rodney Exum, Stevie McGhee, Kevin McGhee, Josh Burkett, Colbie English, Layton Martin and Kaison Martin.

Trevor Jermaine “T.J.” Baldwin
Mr. Trevor Jermaine “T.J.” Baldwin, age 45, of Atmore, Ala., passed away Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at his residence. A native of Atmore, he attended school in Escambia County, Ala. He was a member of Faith Tabernacle Holiness Church in Atmore (Freemanville Community). He was known for fellowshipping with other churches in the Atmore area where he would play the drums, the guitar, and the piano.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jimmie Lee Baldwin; grandfather, Hillary Hubert, Sr.; two sisters, Jennifer and Jeannette Baldwin.
Mr. Baldwin is survived by his mother, Linda Hubert Baldwin of Atmore; two brothers, Jeffery Baldwin of Atmore and Michael (Shameka) Baldwin of Daphne, Ala.; three nieces, Ma’Kayla Baldwin, Mikera Baldwin, and Ma’Kia Baldwin all of Daphne, Ala.; Ida Nell (Madear) Baldwin and Ceola Hubert, both of Atmore; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Graveside service was held Saturday, April 17, 2021 at 1 p.m. at Fairview Cemetery with Elder Edgar McCarthy officiating.

Edgar Delano Norris
Mr. Edgar Delano Norris, age 86, of Atmore, Ala., passed away Saturday, April 24, 2021. A lifelong resident of Atmore, Mr. Norris was born on March 20, 1935, to Kelon and Buna Norris of Atmore. After his graduation from Escambia County High School in 1953, he worked for many years at Vanity Fair Mills and Samco Products, now Atmore Industries. Several years later, he started a successful lawn care business with his beloved wife, Molly, that continued even after his rehabilitation following a stroke in December, 1998. He served in the Alabama National Guard for 9 years and was a member of The Gideons International organization. He loved singing, visiting with family and friends, mowing his lawn, woodworking, doing word puzzle books, and watching Alabama Crimson Tide football.
His parents were two of the founding members of Atmore First Assembly of God Church, and from the age of 16, he was active in some type of church ministry. Following his marriage in 1957, he and his wife were partners in many areas of service and leadership. For a short while following his wife’s death in 2019, he continued to bless people with his singing ability. Prior to choosing to attend another church with his children and grandchildren, he was the oldest surviving descendant of charter members in the congregation of Atmore First Assembly of God.
He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, two sisters; and his wife of 62 years, Molly Allen Norris.
Mr. Norris is survived by his son, Major Terry (Becky) Norris, USMC retired, Belforest, Ala.; daughter, Janet (Steve) McGill, Atmore; grandchildren Christopher (Stephanie) Phillipy and Rebecca (Tom) Hartner, of Belforest; Whitney (Jacob) Maholovich, of Atmore; Jordan (Lewis) Jones of Loxley, Ala.; ten great-grandchildren; two brothers, Billy (Nancy) Norris, Toronto, Canada, and Reverend David (Peggy) Norris, Salisbury, N.C.; two sisters, Edna Emmons, Century, Fla. and Martha Miller, Mobile, Ala.; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 29, 2021, in the Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor John A. Loper, Jr., Pleasant Grove, Ala., officiating. Interment will follow at Serenity Gardens.
The family will receive friends Thursday, April 29, 2021 from 2 p.m. until service time at 3:30 p.m.
Active pallbearers will be Terry Norris, Steve McGill, Jacob Maholovich, Lewis Jones, Dudley Coleman, and Roy White.
Honorary pallbearers will be Doug Waters, Gerry McGhee, Cecil Daniel, Norman Wilson, Danny Wilson, Tommy Holifield, Webb Nall, and Ray Biggs.

Wanda Lou Smith-Standefer
Ms. Wanda Lou Smith-Standefer, age 75, passed away Sunday, April 25, 2021 in Atmore, Ala. She was born in Mobile, Ala., to the late Dewey Otis and Mazie Knowles-Smith. She worked in the Healthcare Industry as a Home Healthcare Worker.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her siblings, Randy Smith, John Dewey Smith and Martha McShea.
Ms. Standefer is survived by her son, Andy Dewayne Smith of Flomaton, Ala.; her brothers, Billy (Judy) Smith of Flomaton, Ala. and Donnie (Sandy) Smith of Phoenix, Az.; her sister, Betty Smith of Flomaton; her grandson, Nicholas Dewayne Smith; her granddaughter, Andrea Nicole Smith and four great-grandchildren.
Scattering of ashes will take place at a later date.

Ms. Evelyn G. Akers, age 72, of Atmore, Ala., passed away Monday, April 26, 2021 at Mobile, Infirmary, Mobile, Ala.

Eva Karen McInnis
Ms. Eva Karen McInnis née Tew, age 63, of Brewton, Ala., passed away Tuesday, April 20, 2021, in Brewton. She was born in Brewton and attended T.R. Miller High School. She went on to study at University of Mobile where she majored in Elementary Education, and in May 1997, she graduated from Faulkner University, Montgomery, Ala., with a Bachelor of Business degree.
She was predeceased by her father, Raymond Grace Tew, Jr.; her former spouse, Rick Gunaca; and her niece Jennifer VanAusdal.
She had an eclectic sense of humor, and was a free spirit, unapologetically. Her family will remember her effervescent, sparkling light and her profound ability to love. She spent the last years of her life devotedly serving as her mother’s caregiver.
Ms. McInnis is survived by her adored daughter, Ava (Brian) Moore née Gunaca; her grandchildren, Daniel, Alicia, Micah, Noah, and Jonah; her mother, Sammie McGlothern née Hoomes; her siblings, Vicki (Terry) Wilcox, Stephanie (Robert) Spicer; Paul (Rob) Shelley, and Toddy (Roger) Milstead; her loyal dog Rodham (a mixed-breed); eleven nieces and nephews, and many other relatives.
A celebration of her life will be held Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home, 9260 Hwy 31, Atmore, Ala.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at 10 a.m. with a service to commence one hour later, at 11 a.m. officiated by Pastor Cornelius Phillips. Burial will follow at Magnolia Baptist Church Cemetery, 3468 Stanley Road, Brewton, Ala.
Pallbearers will be David Wilcox, Joseph Wilcox, Mark Lanton, Arturo “Alex” Labastida, William Fotheringham, and Ian Stone.

Ms. Erby Grace Rackard, age 84, passed away Friday, April 23, 2021 in Mobile, Ala. She was born in Atmore, Ala. but has lived in Chickasaw, Ala. since 1963. She worked at Mobile Infirmary as a registered nurse.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Ethel Mae Boatwright, one daughter, Shelbie Cox, one brother, Johnny Huggins, and one sister, Georgia Peacock.
Ms. Rackard is survived by her one son, Daniel (Nelda) Hunter of Grove Hill, Ala.; one daughter, Linda Walker of Chickasaw, Ala.; three brothers, Harold (Elouise) Peacock, Aubrey (Brenda) Peacock and Millard (Jo) Peacock, all of Atmore; one sister, Bonnie Neighbors of Atmore; seven grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren; and her special caretakers Jennifer Walker, Carlten and Kelly Welch.

Tommy Earl Kyles, Jr.
Mr. Tommy Earl Kyles, Jr., age 31, of Pensacola, Fla., formerly of Atmore, Ala., passed away Saturday, April 17, 2021 at his residence. A native of Atmore, he was a 2008 graduate of Escambia County High School. He had been a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church – Atmore (Robinsonville Community). He worked for Walmart in Pensacola, Fla. and he loved fishing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Tommy Earl Kyles, Sr. and Ivory Jean Riley Kyles; his grandfathers, Nelson Hall, Sr. and James Kyles, Sr.; uncles, Randy Riley, James Kyles, Jr., and Anthony Hall; aunts Teresa Kyles-Fountain.
Mr. Kyles is survived by his children, Ivorionna Kyles, Tommy Kyles, III, Camryn Kyles; sisters, Antormeshia Kyles, Dominique (Guy) Bailey and Deidra (Jermain) Patterson; grandmothers, Pearlie Riley-Hall and Ora D. Ms. Kelly LeAnn Lucas, age 38, passed away Saturday, April 24, 2021. She was born in Pensacola, Fla. to Phil and Charlotte Lucas. She was a 2001 graduate of Northview High School.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Lorri Kenzie Lucas, and her grandparents, Calvin and Ethylene Overstreet and Robert and Laura Lucas.
Ms. Lucas is survived by her children, Ariana Dionne and Ashlyn Dionne, both of Pensacola and Griffin Lawson of Navarre, Fla.; her sister, Kinzie Lucas Shamblin of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; her parents, Phil and Charlotte Lucas of Enon; and her nieces, Lorri Harrell and Raegan Harrell.

Willie James Norman
Mr. Willie James Norman, age 89, of Tensaw Community, Ala., passed away Sunday, April 11, 2021 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, Fla. A native of Blacksher, Ala., he attended the Vaughn School in Stockton. Ala. He worked for the Coca-Cola plant for many years. He was a member of Greater New Salem Baptist Church in Tensaw.
He was preceded in death by his father, Dave Norman; his mother, Rosie Sanders Norman; sons, Willie Earl Norman, Charlie James Norman, Willie Glenn Wiggins; sisters, Maggie Norman, Daisy Pogue, Millie Norman, Rose Mary Cook, Martha Norman-Williams, and Cammie Norman.

Cleve Williams, Jr.
Mr. Cleve Williams, Jr., age 64, of Atmore, Ala., passed away Saturday, April 17, 2021. He was born in Atmore to Cleve, Sr. and Kitty Williams. He was a 1975 graduate of Escambia County High School. He served twenty-one years in the United States Navy ranking and retired as E6. He then was employed with the Department of Corrections for twenty years. He was a member of Mt. Gilead Missionary Baptist Church serving on the Usher Board. He enjoyed outdoors and the farmland. He was an avid “Alabama” fan.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Helen Williams Johnson, Odessa Williams and Paulette Williams-Robinson; and grandson, Janagen Williams, Jr.
Mr. Williams is survived by his daughter, Marquita Williams; sons, Janagen Williams and Bryson Williams; three sisters, Bertha Lawson, Minnie Hartman and Kitty (Michael) Archie; two brothers, Harold (Mary) Williams and Theodis (Brenda) Williams; special and devoted niece, Faye Ephraim; four grandchildren, Zeek Williams, Janiya Williams, Alina Worswick and Ensley Boykin; mothers of his children, Ruthie Williams and Rene Parker; three aunts, Ida Johnson Jones, Emily Johnson and Roevonna Williams; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Elsie Louise Alred, age 89, passed away Wednesday, April 21, 2021. She was a lifelong resident of Century, Fla. She was a member of Faith Bible Baptist Church since 1976.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Paralee Lacoste; five brothers; and six sisters-in-law, Louis (Margaret Janel), Howard (Mildred and Tudy), Russell (Etta Mae), Melvin (Vonnie) and Ronnie; her first husband and father of her children, Calvin Scott, and her second husband, Norman Gene Alred.
Mrs. Alred is survived by her sister, Patricia Gibson; two sisters-in-law, Linda and Janel Lacoste, her daughter, Donna Whitfield; her son, Spencer C. Scott; granddaughter, Heather R. Moss; grandsons, Ritchard Collier, Jaylen S. Whitfield, Ashton A. Moss, Bylen A. Moss; many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 1, 2021, at 2 p.m. at Faith Bible Baptist Church Century with Rev Lacoste and Chaplin Jim Stickle officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Church Cemetery, Century.
