Minnie Stacey

Mrs. Minnie Stacey, age 77, passed away Wednesday, December 23, 2020 in Bay Minette, Ala. She was a native of Atmore, Ala. and had resided in Perdido, Ala. for most of her life. She baby sat in her home until her health prevented her from doing so. She loved her church, her family and everyone. She believed if you couldn’t say something nice then don’t say anything at all. She loved being outdoors and loved to fish. She was a member of the New Testament Holiness Church.
She is survived by three sons, John (Nancy) Stacey and Danny Stacey, all of Lottie, Ala., Hannis Lee Stacey of Bay Minette; two daughters, Rhonda (Richard) Boutwell of Perdido and Janice Stacey (Kevin) of Rabun, Ala.; four brothers, Buckshot (Mary Nell) Stewart of Sims, Ala., Earl (Louise) Parker and Donnie Parker, all of Perdido, Ray (Linda) Parker of Rabun, Ala. and Donnie Parker of Perdido, AL; two sisters, Ola Mae (Willie) Ramer of Bay Minette and Betty Eckert of Rabun; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held Thursday, December 24, 2020 at 2 p.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Sis. Helen Stewart, Bro. Bubba Rolin and Bro. Tony Shackleford officiating. Burial followed at Bryars-McGill Cemetery.
The family received friends Thursday, December 24, 2020 from 1 p..m. until service at 2 p.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Dewayne Minchew, Mike Garner, Dillon Minchew, Dalton Overstreet, Chase Overstreet, Earl Parker, Michael Hyatt and Ryan Moorer.

Dena Johnston Stabler

Stabler

Mrs. Dena Johnston Stabler, age 49, passed away on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 in Bay Minette, Ala. She was a native and life-long resident of Bay Minette. She was owner-operator of Dena’s Daycare of Bay Minette, loved caring for her babies, her family and R-Ving in Style. She was of the Christian Faith.
She was preceded in death by her father, Van Johnston.
Mrs. Stabler is survived by her mother, Willodean Hastings of Bay Minette; husband of 30 years, Tony Stabler of Bay Minette; two daughters, Nichole Stabler and Chelsea Stabler, both of Bay Minette and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held Monday, December 28, 2020 at 2 p.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Bro. Mark Daniel officiating. Burial will followed at the Pine Grove Cemetery.
The family received friends Sunday, December 27, 2020 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Joey Emmons, BJ Emmons, Cody Emmons, Steve Jackson, Mike Austin and Lewis Harville.

Theresa D. Tichi

Tichi

Mrs. Theresa D. Tichi, age 86, of Davisville, Fla. passed away Thursday, December 24, 2020 at her residence. She was born to the late Alec C. and Nettie Evelyn Adams Douglas in Mobile, Ala. She and her husband owned and operated Tichi’s Garage in Davisville for many years and she had such a generous heart and loved helping people during their time of need.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Sam Tichi; two brothers, Buddy Douglas; George Douglas and one sister, Mary Alice Hansen.
Mrs. Tichi is survived by her two daughters, Dr. Lee Ann McGill (Charles D. Anderson) of Orange Beach, Ala. and Anna Marie Bauman of Willow, AK; brother, Henry (Ellen) Douglas of Mobile; granddaughter, Courtney Bauman, many loving nieces, nephews, family and friends.
The family would also like to give a special thank you to all the caregivers that have helped through the years and especially Mrs. Mary Lee for taking special care of Mrs. Tichi for the past 10 years.
Funeral services will be held Monday, December 28, 2020 at 2 p.m. from the Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Otis Thames officiating. Interment will follow in Pine Barren Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family received friends Monday, December 28, 2020 from 1 p.m. until service time at 2 p.m. at the Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home.

Francis Lindsey Harrelson

Mrs. Francis Lindsey Harrelson, age 71, passed away Thursday, December 24, 2020 at her home in Atmore, Ala. She was a native of Stockton, Ala. and had resided in Atmore for most of her life. She was of the Holiness Faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Zuline Lindsey; two brothers, Thomas Lindsey and James Lindsey and two sisters, Annie Lindsey and Claresse Foster.
Mrs. Harrelson is survived by two daughters, Rhonda (Jimmy) Boutwell and Hannah (Stephen) Johnson, all of Atmore; one sister, Earlene Lindsey of Creola, Ala.; eight grandchildren, Laura Quinn, Benjamin Boutwell, Blake Flowers, Cheyenne Johnson, Landon Johnson, Anthony Johnson, Paidin Dantzler and Jaclynn Harrelson; one great-grandchild, Daniel Quinn and special nephew, Wendell Harrelson.
Funeral services were held Monday, December 28, 2020 at 10 a.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Bro. Malcolm Harrelson officiating. Burial followed at Traveler’s Rest Cemetery.
The family received friends Sunday, December 27, 2020 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.

Travis Solomon Baggett

Mr. Travis Solomon Baggett, age 96, passed away Saturday, December 26, 2020, after a one-day hospital stay due to what he referred to as “just being tired.” He was born in Castleberry, Ala. to Samuel Cleveland Baggett and Sara Dolihite Baggett. At the age of 17, Travis enlisted in the U.S. Navy, serving in WWII as a fire controller.
Besides serving in the US military, Travis worked at the Mobile Shipyard, a Meat Packing House and even worked in construction building bridges all over the southeast. He later worked at the Evergreen Head Mill for several years, which ultimately led him to join the Evergreen Police Force as an officer. In 1965, Travis and his family headed to Atmore, where Travis served as a Corrections Officer with the State of Alabama Prison System for 25 years. As a child of God and believer in Jesus Christ, Travis often could still quote scripture and tell Bible stories to anyone who would listen. Travis lived a full life and was loved immensely, especially by his family. His favorite response to most of life’s puzzling and crazy situations was always, “I do know.” Certainly, now Travis does know indeed as he is with the One who redeemed him many years ago.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his son, Steve Baggett of Atmore, Ala.; and daughter-in-law, Rita Baggett of Atmore; deceased siblings, Jesse, Howard, Buck, Ned, Ella, Loreen, Helen, Francis, Mary and Elaine.
Mr. Baggett is survived by his wife of seventy-seven, Dorothy Baggett; sons, Ronnie (Margaret) Baggett and Donnie Baggett, all of Atmore; Garry (Vicki) Baggett of Bratt, Fla.; grandchildren, Stephen Baggett, Melissa Baggett, and Corry Baggett, all of Atmore , and Krystal (Charles) Weaver of Dothan, Ala,. Alex (Kaylee) Baggett of Louisiana and Lexxi Baggett of Bratt; five great -grandchildren and several special nieces.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at 10 a.m. with Rev. Tim James of Atmore Apostolic Church officiating. Burial follow at Buffington Cemetery in Castleberry, with Full Military Honors.
The family received friends Tuesday, December 29, 2020 from 9 a.m. until service time at 10 a.m.
Active pallbearers were Alex Baggett, Corry Baggett, Haynes Gandy, Hunter Kite, Luke Miller, Zack Miller.

Mr. Kevin Devon Frye, Sr., age 46, of Atmore, Ala. passed away Saturday, December 19, 2020.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday, December. 30, 2020 at 1p.m. at Longmire – Jones Memorial Chapel of Turner Funeral Chapel with Min. Cross officiating.

Anthony West
Mr. Anthony West, age 51, of Atmore, Ala., formerly of Lakeland, Ga., passed away Monday, December 21, 2020.
Funeral service were held Monday, December 28, 2020 at 2 p.m. at Charles Knight Cemetery in Lakeland with Harrington Funeral Hone directing and Turner Funeral Chapel handling local arrangements.

Margie Marie Ball
Mrs. Margie Marie Ball, age 63, in Castleberry, Ala. passed away Wednesday, December 23, 2020 in Atmore Community Hospital. She was born in Little River, Alabama to the late Mike Jones, Sr. and Mary Ellen Jones. She moved to Detroit, Mich. in 1970 and attended Femdale Public Schools. She moved back to Atmore in 2000. She was a faithful member of Second Mary Etta Church. She enjoyed baking cakes and spending time with her husband.
She was preceded in death by her sisters, Louvemie Finley and Lucy Finley; brothers, Curtis Jones, Lonnie Jones, Henry Hawkins and Charlie Jones.
Mrs. Ball is survived by her husband, James Ball; two daughters, LaSondia Brown, Nakeda Jones; one son, Charles Vaughn, Jr.; four sisters, Corine English (John), Betty Vaughn (Terry), Ethel Jones, Cynthia Vaughn (Gerald); four brothers, Mike Jones, Jr. (Ernestine), David Jones (Pam) James Jones, Johnny Jones (Ayeshia), sisters-in-law; Marie Pearl, Mary and Ozell, bother-in-law, Henderson; grandchildren, Koreco, Anaya, Darian, Charles III, Nakayla and TJ; step- children, Vivian, Wanda and Anthony; a host of relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at 10 a.m. at Second Marietta Cemetery with Rev. McCord and Rev. Earl Sanders officiating.

Veola Anderson
Veola Anderson, age 92, of Atmore, Ala., passed away Friday, December 28, 2020. She was born to the late Adella Anderson and Grover Lamar in Atmore. She was a dedicated and faithful member of the Faith Temple Church of God in Christ. Mother Anderson was the mother of one san, Glen, but she was like a mother to many. She was the best and most well-known babysitter in the Atmore area.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Thelma Hill, Annie Lamar, Dola Lamar and Mable Lamar; brothers, Cleveland Lamar, and Horace Lamar; brothers, Cleveland Lamar, Sr. and Horace Lamar.
Mother Anderson is survived by her son, Glen McNeal of Atlanta, Ga.; adopted daughter, Bridgette (DaCarlos) Barnes; two grand-children, Braleigh and Damari Barnes, all of Atmore; nieces and nephews, Shirley Jones, Robert Hill, Brenca Harris, Curtis Hill, Norma Taylor, Henel Kate Henderson-Crumpton, Anthony (Sherry) Hill, Ricky (Mary) Hill and Cleveland (Joyce) Lamar, Sr., also a host of other relatives, friends and her church family.
Graveside services were held Saturday, December 26, 2020 at 1 p.m. at Lucious Cemetery with Minister Shirley Jones, officiating.

Ms. Annie Williams, age 66, of Montgomery, Ala., formerly of Stockton, Ala., passed away recently.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, January. 2, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Robinson Cemetery in Stockton.

Mrs. Sarah Steam, age 81, of Bay Minette, Ala., passed away Tuesday, December. 29, 2020 at Mobile Infirmary.
Funeral services are incomplete at this time but will be announced later by Turner Funeral Chapel.

Kenneth Ralph “Ray” Jones
Mr. Kenneth Ralph “Ray” Jones, age 72, passed away Monday, December 28, 2020 in Poarch, All… He was a native of Excel, Ala. and had resided in Poarch for the past 46 years. He was born to Melba and Vernell “Sterl” Jones in Excel, Ala. He retired as a self-employed truck driver for Jones Trucking and currently operated his own mobile home park. He was an avid farmer and motorcyclist. He also had a lifelong love of horses and loved country living.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Keith Allen McGhee; siblings, Tony Mac Jones, Douglas Jones, Annell Brooks and Carolyn Jaye.
Mr. Jones is survived by his former wife, Clara Jones of Poarch; daughter, Suzi (Patrick) Graham of Port Charlotte Fla.; son, Frankie “Boochie” Jones of Poarch; sisters, Judy (Roy) Owen of Excel and Brenda (Donnie) Johnson of Goodway, Ala.; brother, Tracey Jones of Excel.; eight grandchildren, James Huhman of Port Charlotte, Fla., Stephan Graham of Fort Irwin, Ca., Caleb and Joshua Graham of Port Charlotte, FL, Bailey Jones of Brewton, AL and Macey, Adilyn and Laikyn Jones of Poarch.and great grandson, Sterling Graham of Fort Irwin, Ca.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at 11 a.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Tim James officiating. Burial will follow at Excel Cemetery in Excel.
