William “Billy” Harris

Mr. William “Billy” Harris, age 71, passed away Monday, October 26, 2020, at his home in Perdido, Ala. He was a native of Uriah, Ala., former resident of Loxley, Ala. and had resided in Perdido for the past twenty-one years. He loved to fish and being outdoors. He was retired from Winston Stewart Construction with fifty years of service. He was a member of Fretwell Tabernacle Holiness Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Cleveland and Gertrude Harris; one sister and two brothers.
Mr. Harris is survived by his wife of forty years, Cindy Harris of Perdido; four sons, Michael Harris of LaGrange, Ga., Justin Harris and Scott Harris, both of Perdido and Westley Harris of Bay Minette, Ala.; two daughters, Theresa Harris and Renee May, both of LaGrange; one brother, Eugene Harris of Robertsdale, Ala,; nineteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday, November 2, 2020 at 10 a.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Sis. Helen Stewart officiating. Burial will follow at the White Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Sunday, November 1, 2020 from 5 until 7 p.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Michael Harris, Justin Harris, Scott Harris, Westley Harris, Casey Williams and Logan Williams.

David Alton Tillery, Jr.

Mr. David Alton Tillery, Jr., age 44, passed away Sunday, October 25, 2020 at his home in Perdido, Ala. He was a native of Mobile, Ala., former resident of Atmore, Ala. and had resided in Perdido for the past twelve years. He was a loving husband, son, father, brother and friend. He loved unconditionally and exhibited all the fruits of the Holy Spirit. He loved wood working, building furniture, music, playing, singing, studying the Bible and Alabama Football. He was a member and Deacon at the Renovation Ministries in Huxford, Ala., was the bass guitar player with the church worship team and the teacher for Wednesday Night Boys Ministry. He was an employee with Masland Carpets with over twenty years of service.
Mr. Tillery is survived by his father and step-mother, David Alton (Judy) Tillery, Sr. of Atmore; mother and step-father, Freida (Ray) Lowery of Atmore; wife of twenty-two years, Jessica Coon Tillery of Perdido; two sons, Jonah David (Ansley) Tillery and Jett Lynden Tillery, all of Perdido; his fur baby, “spoiled” Annie-Lou; grandmother, Nell Jeter of Bayou La Batre, Ala.; one brother, Daniel Tillery of Loxley, Ala.; one sister, Karen (Chris) McGhee of Atmore and numerous aunts, uncles, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services will be held Friday, October 30, 2020 at 2 p.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Bro. Keith Lisenby officiating. Burial will follow at Sullivan Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Thursday, October 29, 2020 from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Fredrick Tillery, Daniel Tillery, Andy Marez, Tony Lassiter, Brad Wilson and Mike McGhee.

Sue Macks Gephart

Mrs. Sue Macks Gephart, age 69, of Frisco City, Ala., passed away Wednesday, October 28, 2020. She was born in Atmore, Ala. to the late Wilburn Macks and Josephine Daniels.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Mrs. Gephart is survived by her husband, Neal Gephart of Frisco City; her daughter, Kelli (Thomas) Lane of Old Salem, Ala.; her sister, Jo Ann (Harold) Martin of Warner Robbins, Ga.; her grandchildren, Taylor (Justin) Campbell, John (Jenn) Nettles, David (Jamie) Lane and Elizabeth Lane and four great-grandchildren.
Graveside service will be held Saturday, October 31, 2020 at 11:30 a.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery with Bro. Tom Lindsey officiating.
Active pallbearers will be Tom Lane, Harold Martin, John Nettles, Justin Campbell, Chris Smith and Brandon Smith.
The family will receive friends Saturday, October 31, 2020 from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home.

James Lee Miller

Miller

Mr. James Lee Miller, age 82, of Atmore, Ala., passed away Wednesday, October 28, 2020. He was born in Liberty, Ohio to the late Russell E. Miller and Helen K. Brown. He was a manager for the State of Alabama Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control and served in The United States Air Force and The United States Army. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Charlotte Troutman Miller and his grandson, Rex Miller Raley. 

Mr. Miller is survived by his son, Russell Miller of Robinsonville, Ala.; his daughter, Hope Miller Zeanah (Rip Christiansen) of Elberta, Ala., his granddaughter, Holly Van Sise of Fairhope, Ala. and his great-grandchildren, Graysen Van Sise and Sullivan Van Sise. 

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, November 4, 2020 at 2 p.m. at Robinsonville Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Phil Johnson officiating.  

Honorary pallbearers will be Walter DeWitt, Eddie Baker, Joe Gargulio, Terry Troutman, David Smith, Brandon Smith, Ray Lowrey, Willie Warren, Clyde Helton, Dean Smith, Charlie Woods, Albert Helton, Larry Zangus, Dan Johnson and Andrew Willis. 

The family will receive friends Wednesday, November 4, 2020 from 1 p.m. until service time at 2 p.m. at Robinsonville Baptist Church Cemetery.

Georgia Irene Sanders Parsons

Mrs. Georgia Irene Sanders Parsons, age 92, passed away Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at the home of her granddaughter in Madisonville, La. She was a native of Greenville, Ala., been a long time resident of the Atmore, Ala. and Uriah, Ala. area and had resided in Madisonville for the past six months. She was a member of the Atmore Church of Christ and was retired from Vanity Fair with many years of service.

She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-eight years, Joe Everette Parsons; parents, John T. Sr. and Kathleen Barganeer Sanders; two brothers, Joseph C. Sanders and John T. Sanders and two sisters, Annie Pearl Gentry and Sarah Smith.
Mrs. Parsons is survived by her two daughters, Jean Sands of Atmore and Renie Jo Lassitter (Ed Hales) of Uriah; one sister, Doris Duncan of Greenville; five grandchildren, Joe E. Hales, Lynn Tooney, Leslie Vice, Jeanna Encalade and Shelley Henderson; seventeen great-grandchildren; ten great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 3, 2020 at 3 p.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.

Mr. Samuel Charles Stallworth, age 72, of Pensacola, Fla., passed away Wednesday, October 11, 2020.

Mr. Stallworth is survived by his wife, Barbara Stallworth; son, Anthony Charles Stallwortth; mother, Voncile Stallworth and sister, Pamela Stallworth, both of Atmore, Ala.

Graveside services were held Thursday, October 19, 2020 at 1 p.m. at Barrancas National Cemetery, Pensacola, Fla.

Victor Darnell Edwards

Mr. Victor Darnell Edwards, age 40, of Atmore, Ala., passed away Wednesday, October 21, 2020. He was born to Ollie M. Jones and Alphonzo Edwards in Atmore. He was educated in Escambia County, Alabama Public School System and later earned his trade certificate in construction. In his early years he was a member of Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church and later in life attended Jones Street True Pentecostal Holiness Church. He worked with A.J. Edwards Roofing, American Roofing, Standard Furniture and Atmore Tires. Industry Services was his last place of employment until the decline of his health.

Mr. Edwards is survived by his wife, Towanda Harris Edwards; children, Azenda Edwards, Tylyric Gable, ChaMyia Edwards, Zayshia Mason, Jordyn Edwards and Chavon Wilson; mother and father; six sisters, Janice (Eusebio) Mareano of Ontario, Calif., Monica (Teddy) May and Tonya (Zavier) Franklin, all of Lakewood, Calif, Juanita (Edwin) Smith of Harvest, Ala., Valorie L. Jones of Philadelphia, Penn. and Shritha (Fred) King of Atmore; seven brothers, Steve Edwards of Victorville, Calif., Purvis (Barbara) Smith of Century, Fla., Lebarron (Monica) Edwards of Lakewood, Calif., Alphonzo (Lashay) Edwards of Compton, Calif., Jerry (Linda) Madison of Pensacola, Fla., Darron ;(Vivian) Jones of Atmore and Maurice (Jennifer) Jones of Kenoesha, Wisc.; host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Saturday, October 31, 2020 at 11 a.m. at Emmanuel’s Faith Center with Bishop Wayne Johnson, Host Pastor, Rev. Dr. Monroe Tucker, officiating and Prophet Shawn Williams, Eulogist. Interment followed at Fairview Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Anthony Riley, Christopher Jones, Marcus Sellers, Dale Sellers, Steve Reynolds and Richard Adams.

Honorary pallbearers were Purvis Smith, Darron L. Jones, Alphonzo Edwards, Steve Edwards, Jerry Madison, Lebarron Edwards, Maurice Jones and James Bush.

A’Maya Denise Lambert

Infant A’Maya Denise Lambert, age 10 months, of Atmore, Ala., passed away Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at Women’s and Children’s Hospital in Mobile, Ala. She was born in Mobile to Danzel Lambert and Debreysha Lee.

She was preceded in death by great-grandparents, Samuel and Willie Neal Lee and Betty Montgomery.

Little Miss A’Amaya Denise is survived by her mother and father; grandparents, Diane Lee of Atmore and Roosevelt Johnson of Pensacola, Fla.; uncle, Marlon Lee of Atmore; aunts, Latoya Lee and Theresa Lee, both of Atmore; grandparents, Gwendolyn Lambert and Larry Brown of Atmore; Godparent, Kendra Bryant; host of great uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and many other loving family members.

Funeral services were held Sunday, November 1, 2020 at 2 p.m. at Emanuel Faith Center with Bishop Wayne Johnson, Pastor and eulogist. Interment followed at Fairview Cemetery.

Jess William Taylor, Sr.

Mr. Jess William Taylor, Sr., age 57, passed away Sunday, November 1, 2020, at his home in Atmore, Ala. He was a native of Atmore and had resided in the Rabun, Ala. and Atmore area for most of his life. He loved playing the guitar and mud trucks.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John William, Sr. and Christine Taylor; two brothers, John Michael Taylor and Rex Taylor and step-son, Jay Kenny Milstead.
Mr. Taylor is survived by his wife of fourteen years, Pearl Jackson of Atmore; one son, Jess William “Will”, Jr. (Lachlan Taylor) of Bay Minette, Ala.; two daughters, Jessica (Will) Stein of Uriah, Ala. and Joy (Gregory) Rolin of Poarch, Ala.; two brothers, Justin (Beth) Taylor of Spanish Fort, Ala. and Danny Ray (Flossie) Taylor of Rabun; seventeen grandchildren, Samantha, Tyler, Jacob, Kenny Earl, Skylyn, Jake, Easton, Callen, Kipton, Summer Pearl, Mahala, Leland, Braxton, Jaxton, Rylan, Emmit and Liam and three great-grandchildren, Malachi, Kylar and Emery.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 5, 2020 at 2 p.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Sis. Helen Stewart and Bro. Wendell Hadley officiating. Burial will follow at Judson Indian Cemetery.
