ACH to open new clinic

Contest to name it

Special to Atmore News

Atmore Community Hospital (ACH) announced that it will open a new primary care physician clinic in Atmore. The new primary care clinic is tentatively set to open in December of 2020 and will feature a new physician partnered with a new advanced practice provider, supported by a team of nurses and office staff.
“We are currently working to finalize the contract for the new clinic building, the provider’s agreements and credentialing,” ACH Interim Hospital Administrator Suzanne McGill said. “If everything goes according to plan, we are hoping to see the clinic open in December.”
While the physician and the advanced practice provider have not been named publicly, officials with Atmore Community Hospital say that those announcements will be forthcoming over the next several weeks. The announcements will also include the name of the new clinic.
“Everyone is invited to help us name our new clinic,” ACH Director of Operations Brad Lowery said. “We will post to our Facebook page a statement related to this new clinic and contest. Submit name suggestions to this post in the comment section for valid entry. We will select the name from those submitted, as well as ones that have been submitted by staff, and the winner will receive a $100 VISA gift card to use at their choice of local Atmore businesses.”
Officials stated that the Name the Clinic Contest ends on September 11, 2020. All submissions will be reviewed by the hospital leadership and a winner will be announced the week of September 14.
