Omar Helen Williams

Mrs. Omar Helen Williams, age 77, of Oak Grove, Fla., passed away on Wednesday, July 15, 2020. She was born in Century, Fla. to the late Samuel Andrews and Lizzie Campbell Andrews. 

She was preceded in death by his parents; her sister, Evelyn Bass and her son, Christopher Henderson. 

Mrs. Williams is survived by her husband of forty-four years, William “Bill” Williams; two sons, Robert (Leslie) Henderson of Oak Grove and Johnny Williams of New York, N.Y.; one daughter, Jeanette (Roy) Moye of Flomaton, Ala.; three grandchildren, Samuel Henderson, Emily Henderson and Naomie Lawson and one sister, Eveline Hollingshead of Century. 

Funeral services will be held Sunday, July 19, 2020 at p.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home with Rev. Earl Harrison officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Oak Grove. 

Active pallbearers will be Samuel Henderson, Rick Hammond, Donnie Boatwright, Brandon Smith, Michael Smith and Morgan Mason.

The family will receive friends Sunday, July 19, 2020 from 1 p.m. until the service time at 2p.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home.

Reita Wearren Irwin

Mrs. Reita Wearren Irwin, age 66, passed away Wednesday, July 15, 2020 at her home in Bratt, Fla. She was a native of Atmore, Ala.; former resident of Louisiana and had resided in Bratt for the rest of her life. She was a 1972 graduate of Ernest Ward High school and a 1976 graduate of Troy State University. She was a retired secretary with the Florida State Correction Department. She was preceded in death by her husband of thirty-six years, Larry Irwin; her parents, Frank and Levetia Wearren.                                                                             

Mrs. Irwin is survived by her one brother, Arthur Hollis Wearren of Navarre, Fla.; one sister, Donna Sue Dowdy of Navarre; nephew, Jace Hall (Tasha) of Shalimar, Fla.; great-nieces, Arianna Hall, Ember Hall and a great-nephew Gavin Hall.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, July 18, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. at Godwin Cemetery with Bro. Doug Sanders officiating. Burial will follow at Godwin Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Saturday, July 18, 2020 from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.

Terry Desmond Linam

Mr. Terry Desmond Linam, age 55, passed away Wednesday, July 15, 2020 in a hospital in Pensacola, Fla. He was a native and life-long resident of the Atmore, Ala. He was owner and operator of Snappy Car Wash and Linam’s Electric. He loved his children, mother and grandson. He was a member of the Brooks Memorial Baptist Church.

He is preceded in death by his dad, Yuell Linam, step-father Pete Helton, grandparents, Hubert and Laverta Rounsaville and uncle, Donnell Rounsaville.

Mr. Linam is survived by his mother, Barbara Helton of Atmore; two sons, Ryan Linam and Nolon Linam, both Atmore; two daughters, Gabby Linam of Atmore and Claire Linam and (Dalton Tolbert) of Uriah, Ala.; four brothers, Alan Helton and Roger (Beverly) Helton all of Atmore, Osborn (Kathy) Linam and of Spanish Fort, Ala. and George Linam of Columbia, Tenn.; four sisters, Linda (Billy) Farr, Dawn (Tim) Turner, all of Atmore, Cindy Linam of Spanish Fort, Ala. and Sonja (Mark) Crowel of Daphne, Ala.; one grandson, Braxton Tolbert of Uriah; nine nephews, Brandon Whitehead, Craig Helton, Cody Helton, Dustin Helton, Nate Turner, Cullen Pierce, Logan Pierce, Gavin Primm and Trent Linam; six nieces, Shane Spence, Brooklyn Turner, Mary Katherine Crowel, Haley Witherow, Hannah Linam, Maggie Linam and special friends, Karen Matthews, Roy Tolin, Jackie Lee, James Pettway, David Kirby and Dave Kinam.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 18, 2020 at 3 p.m. at Petty Funeral Home with Dr. Dale Patterson officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Saturday, July 18, 2020 at 2 p.m. until service time at 3 p.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel.

James Arnold Turberville

Mr. James Arnold Turberville, age 80, of Milton, Fla., passed away Sunday, July 19, 2020. He was born in Mineola, Ala. 

He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Rachel Turberville; his father, Martin D. Turberville and his mother, Edna Hall White. 

Mr. Turberville is survived by his sisters-in-law, Eloise Rachel Sullivan of Pace, Fla. and Marion Rachel Stephens of Milton, Fla. 

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at 11 a.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery in Atmore, Ala. with Bro. Lester Peavy officiating.

John Spickard Fuqua

Fuqua

Mr. John Spickard Fuqua, age 79, passed away Wednesday, July 19, 2020 in Pensacola, Fla.  He was a native of Memphis, Tenn. and had resided in Pensacola for most of his life. He was a veteran serving in the US Army, where he relocated the Atomic Cannon (M65) throughout Germany and Belgium during the Cold War. He was employed with the Lewis Bear Company as the draft beer department manager in Pensacola for twenty eight years and with Gray’s Tackle in Innerarity Point, Fla. for ten years. He was a member at Temple Beth El Jewish Synagogue, a 32 degree Mason, Member of Hadji Shrine Temple and the Antique Car Club.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Nelson and Hattie Louise Fuqua; son, Lee West and great-granddaughter, Audrey Lynn.

Mr. Fuqua is survived by his wife, Charlotte Fuqua of Pensacola; two sons, Robert Nelson (Robin) Fuqua of Century, Fla. and Nathan Fuqua of Pensacola; five daughters, Lee Anne Carroll of Bainbridge, Ga., Roberta Carroll of Louisville, Ky., Lori West (Fred) Voit of Waverly, Ga., Carol Fuqua of Florala, Ala. and Jordan Fuqua of Pensacola and ten grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at 7 p.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home. Burial will be held Thursday, July 23, 2020 at 10 a.m. at Barrancas National Cemetery with Military Honors and with Rabbi Joel Fleekop officiating.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, July 22, 2020 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.

Edward Stephen Clemens

Mr. Edward Stephen Clemens, age 90, passed away Sunday, July 19, 2020 in Atmore, Ala. He was a native of Valley Stream, N.Y., former resident of Century, Fla. and had resided in Atmore for the past 10 years. He was a member of the VFW, a veteran of the US Army and retired police officer with Nassau County, N.Y. He was former owner of Travel Ease Limousine Service and E&C Security of Sarasota County, Fla.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Helen B. Clemens; his first wife, Dorothy Cane Clemens; second wife, Debbie Johnson Clemens and brother, Donald Clemens.
Mr. Clemens is survived by his two sons, Edward S. (Paula) Clemens of Atmore and William “Billy” (Patti) Clemens of Sarasota; one sister-in-law, Jean Clemens of Baldwin, NY; three grandchildren, Bradley Clemens, Todd Clemens and Sara Clemens; one great grandchild, Avlynn Clemens; one nephew, Donald Clemens and one niece, Jean Clemens.

Clarice Dailey 

Dailey

Ms. Clarice Dailey, age 69, of Atmore, Ala., (Freemanville Community), passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2020 at Baptist Hospital, Pensacola, Fla. She was a native of Atmore and a 1967 graduate of Escambia County Training School. She was a lifetime faithful devoted member of the Mt. Gillead Baptist Church serving as a devoted usher, as well as president of the Junior Usher Board, member of the Senior Choir and little Children’s Sunday school teacher. She had worked at Monsanto Chemical Co in Pensacola. She was an Avon Representative for over forty years in the Freemanville Community. 

She was preceded in death by her mother, Lizzie Mae Dailey.

Ms. Dailey is survived by her daughter, Erika L. Dailey of Atmore; her father, Deacon Jethro Dailey, Sr. of Atmore; seven sisters, Evelyn Akers, Zernice Valerie, Mildred McKenzie, Neva Taylor and LaTongia Tucker, all of Atmore, Mary Dailey and Wilhelmenia Hielmer, both of Huntsville, Ala.; three brothers, Jethro Dailey, Jr. of Huntsville, Ricky Dailey and Erwin Dailey, both of Atmore; one grandson, Darious Dailey, and three great-grandchildren.

Public viewing will be held Friday, July 24, 2020 from 3 – 5 p.m. at the funeral home.

Graveside service will be held Saturday, July 25, 2020 at 11 a.m. at Fairview Cemetery with Bishop Bernard Bishop officiating.

Ular C. Moorer 

Moorer

Mr. Ular C. Moorer, age 63, of Walnut Hill, Fla., passed away Friday, July 17, 2020 at Baptist Hospital, Pensacola, Fla. He was a native of Atmore, Ala. and longtime resident of Walnut Hill. He was a 1976 graduate of Ernest Ward High School in Walnut Hill. He had worked as a laborer for the Escambia Co. (FL) Road Dept. He enjoyed watching wrestling. He was a member of New St. Paul Baptist Church, Walnut Hill.

He was preceded in death by two daughters, Sheena and Shaquetta Moorer; his mother, Zelma Moorer and his father, David Moorer.

Mr. Moorer is survived by his wife, Lorene Moorer of Walnut Hill; one daughter, Tatweta Moorer of Walnut Hill; two sons, Eric Moorer of Flomaton, Ala. and Devin Moorer of Atmore; six sisters, Lois Stokes and Hattie Ewing, both of Atmore, Diane Thames of Walnut Hill, Gloria Moorer, Tammy Moorer, and Vera Simpson, all of Century; three brothers, Thomas Williams of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Glen Moorer of Atmore and Joey Moorer of Pace, Fla. and five grandchildren.

Public viewing will be held Friday, July 24, 2020 from 3 – 5 p.m. at the funeral home. 

Graveside service will be held Saturday, July 25, 2020 at 2 p.m. at New St. Paul Church Cemetery, Walnut Hill with Rev. Sammie Moorer officiating.

Tynocha Auderi Rostchild-Johnson

Tynocha Auderi Rostchild-Johnson, age 45, of Atmore, Ala., passed away Wednesday, July 8, 2020. She was born in Atmore to Barbara and the late Floyd Rostchild. She was a 1993 graduate of Escambia County High School and continued her education at Concordia College in Selma, Ala. She was formerly employed at the Atmore Nursing Center and the Circle K. She was kind, thoughtful, caring and loving with a charismatic personality.

She was preceded in death by her father; grandparents, Ernest and Genevie Rostchild, Israel and Dorothy McMillian and her twin grandson, Nehemiah Armstrong.

Ms. Rostchild-Johnson is survived by Michael Johnson and children, Yeldon, Aaliyah, Makala, Nailia, Zavion and Kymore; six grandchildren, Braylen, Madison, Bryson, Jeremiah, Zyia and Yaylin; mother, Barbara Rostchild; special friends, Sacajawea Grace (aka Sam) and Tara Thomas; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives along with a host of other friends.

Graveside services were held Saturday, July 18, 2020 at 1 p.m. at Fairview Cemetery with Elder Alvanise Gray officiating.

Willie Clarence Lee

Mr. Willie Clarence Lee, age 60, of Brewton, Ala., passed away Saturday, July 4, 2020 at D.W. McMillan Hospital in Brewton, Ala. He was warn to the late Mamie Lee and Sylvester Bullard. He was a 1979 graduate of Escambia County School. He was better known as “Big Red.”

He was preceded in death by his mother, Mamie Lyons and step-father, Howard Lyons, Sr. and brother, Freddie Lee.

Mr. Lee is survived by two brothers, David Lyons of Beaver Falls, Penn. and Howard Lyons of Atmore; three sisters, Catherine and Marylin Lyons, both of Atmore and Bernice Lyons of Clearwater, Fla.; six aunts, Dorothy McMillan, Vonceill Lee, Lula (Leroy) Knight, Odessa Lee Jones, Dorothy Lee and Novella Lee Johnson and a host of other relatives and friends.

Graveside services were held Friday, July 17, 2020 at 11 a.m. at Fairview Cemetery with Pastor Darlene McMillian officiating.

Sharon Kim Henderson

Ms. Sharon Kim Henderson, age 60, of Atmore, Ala., passed away Thursday, July 9, 2020. She was born in Atmore, Ala.to the late Norman and Eloise Henderson. She attended Escambia County Training School. Affectionately known as Sherry she was a member of Mt. Triumph Baptist Church in Uriah, Ala. remaining a faithful member until her death.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Patricia Henderson and Patsy Ross; two brothers, Nathan Henderson and Norman Henderson, Jr.

Ms. Henderson is survived by four sisters, Linda (Robert) Evans, Jacqueline Henderson, Helen Arnold and Debra Pettway; one brother, Robert (Cassandra) Henderson; five special nieces she helped raise and loved, Shaela, Keysha, Kinshasa, Dana and Tina; eight nephews, Mike, Corey, Kevin, Mitch, Shawn, Kendrick, Jabarie, Jr.; three special friends, Donnie Evans, Shirley Roberts and Geraldine Smith; very special cousin, Hendry Granger and a host of other relatives and friends.

Graveside services were held Saturday, July 18, 2020 at 11 a.m. at Fairview Cemetery, Atmore, Ala. with Prophet Michael Henderson of El Bethel Holiness Church officiating.

Pallbearers were her brother and nephews.

Flower bearers were her nieces.
