The Board of Directors of First Suncoast Trust Bancshares, Inc. and subsidiary bank First National Bank & Trust announce the improvements to the property on Main Street located adjacent to the bank’s main office.
Another notable property located downtown is getting a facelift. Work started last week on the renovation and improvement of the former Western Auto property at 121 South Main and adjacent buildings. The renovations will enhance the look of downtown and add to the revitalization of Atmore.
Landscaping will be added to bring additional color and plant life along the side of the building. New streetlights, sidewalks, and park space will improve the appearance of South Main Street.
“We’re bringing life and opportunities back into community spaces that have been left empty for some time,” said Greg Davis, Project Lead. “Transforming this historic vacant property into beautiful, open green space not only fosters growth and stronger communities but also contributes to a cleaner and healthier Atmore.”
The remaining buildings will feature murals that depict all that is Atmore.
The projected completion of the improvements is forecast to be mid-summer 2020.
