Spreading holiday cheer
News Staff Report Students at Rachel Patterson Elementary School have been busy creating ornaments for their Christmas trees. Not only have they been decorating, they’ve been involved in a Christmas tree decorating competition. Molly Barnett, the Rachel Patterson Leader in Me Leadership Events Action Team leader, coordinated the project. Candlelight memorial
For many area residents, the Candlelight Memorial Service at Johnson Quimby Funeral Home has become a tradition during December as candles are lit in memory of loved ones who have passed away. Jayla Wilson’s poem to be published
Special to Atmore News Students at Escambia County Middle School were given the opportunity to participate in the 2019-2020 National Scholar Society’s Poetry Contest. Jayla Wilson’s poem, “What My Family Means To Me,” has been selected to be published in the National Scholar Society’s prestigious annual student anthology, Award-Winning Young Writers of America 2019-2020.
