Atmore Community Hospital (ACH) announced that Kathy Johnson has joined the hospital as the practice administrator for its three physician practices. In her new role, Johnson will have the overall administrative responsibility for ACH Med Plus, ACH Family Physicians and ACH Primary Care.
“Kathy is filling the role recently vacated by Sherry Winczewski, who is pursuing other opportunities.” ACH Interim Administrator Suzanne McGill said. “We are excited that Kathy has accepted the role of practice administrator and we are confident she will do a remarkable job in her new role.”
Johnson brings a wealth of healthcare experience to the clinics at ACH. She has worked with both Monroe County Hospital and Infirmary Health at North Baldwin. During her time at Monroe County Hospital, Johnson served as the patient financial services director and in the business office and as a reimbursement specialist for the hospital’s Women’s Health Clinic. Johnson also worked as a reimbursement specialist for North Baldwin Infirmary in their Women’s Health Clinic. Johnson is also local to the community as a lifelong resident of Uriah.
“Kathy began her new role in late October and will be reporting directly to me,” McGill said. “We look forward to continue providing the same excellent service to our Atmore community and our many patients around the area.”
