Matthews honored at EA

Hooper Matthews III was honored during the Escambia Academy football game Friday night, Sept. 6. He was presented with a Lifetime Achievement Award by the EA Board. Matthews and his sisters Dale Ash and Cindy Colville graduated from the Academy and have supported the school through the years. Job fair held

The Atmore Area Chamber of Commerce and Brewton Career Center held a job fair Thursday, September 5, in Atmore. Thirty employers were on hand to talk with potential employees. More than 300 jobseekers registered. Shown, Chamber executive director Emily Wilson, right, gets two attendees registered.
