Special to Atmore News First Baptist Church of Atmore held a special appreciation supper for the teachers of Atmore, including preschool, church, public, private, and retired teachers. The folks participating in SilverSneakers dressed for the occasion August 9 when they participated in Tacky Friday. Would be hard to say who was tackiest in this group. The class, held at HealthActions Physical Therapy and Fitness, is taught by Teresa Scott.

Wind Creek Atmore continues to contribute to local entities with their popular Ticket In Ticket Out (TITO) program. The latest recipient was Rachel Patterson Elementary School which received a check for $10,865. Principal John Brantley, holding check, said the school purchased a much needed new mower.
