The Escambia County Healthcare Authority (ECHCA) announced that Sherry A. Winczewski will join the ECHCA as the practice administrator for the three physician practices of Atmore Community Hospital (ACH). In her new role, Winczewski will have the overall administrative responsibility for ACH Med Plus, ACH Family Physicians and ACH Primary Care.
“We are very excited to have Sherry filling the role which is being vacated by Mr. Bradley Lowery,” said Chris Griffin, ECHCA CEO. “Bradley has accepted a similar position with another healthcare organization. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Bradley for his dedication and leadership during his tenure with Atmore Community Hospital and wish him the best in his new role.”
Winczewski joins ACH after most recently serving as the controller for McAlester Regional Health Center in McAlester, Okla. Prior to joining McAlester Regional, she worked for several businesses and healthcare-related institutions, including Santa Rosa Medical Center in Milton, Fla, and Peace River Regional Medical Center in Port Charlotte, Fla.
Winczewski holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in accounting from the University of South Florida and a Master of Business Administration with a major in Healthcare Administration from Western Governors University.
“Sherry [began] her new role on July 29 and will be reporting to the ACH Administrator,” Griffin said. “We look forward to providing the same excellent service to our Atmore community and our many patients around the area.”
