Amanda Kay Townson

Ms. Amanda Kay Townson, age 46, passed away Sunday, July 14, 2019 in Foley, Ala.  She was a native of Houston, Texas, former resident of Bratt, Fla. where she lived most of her life and had resided in Summerdale, Ala. for the past two years. She was of the Baptist Faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dalton and Ester Garrett.

Ms. Townson is survived by her father, Joe Eddie Macks of McDavid, Fla.; fiancé, Lincoln T. Mund of Summerdale; father of her children, Casey Townson of Atmore, Ala.; two sons, Casey Townson of Atmore and Max Townson of Century, Fla.; one daughter, Kaylea Townson of Atmore; four brothers, Anthony Garrett of Century, Bryan (Kim) McGhee of Atmore, Donnie (Deanna) Macks of Monroeville, Ala. and Daniel (Susie) Macks of Garland, Ala.; three sisters, Cherra Mae Garrett of Troy, Mo., Angela McCall of Grand Bay, Ala. and Kim (Randall) Musgrove of Tallahassee, Fla.; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services were held Thursday, July 18, 2019 at 2 p.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Bro. Rickey Tedder officiating. Burial followed at Sardis Baptist Cemetery.

The family received friends Wednesday, July 17, 2019 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were Austin Adams, Justin Henderson, Trey Price, Michael Lee, Michael Shipp and Brian Jackson.

Lenard Plez Albritton, Jr.

Mr. Lenard Plez Albritton, Jr., age 76, passed away Sunday, July 14, 2019 at his home in Atmore, Ala. He was a native of Wardville, Fla. and had resided in Atmore for the past fifty years. He was a welder, fabricator, diesel mechanic, truck driver and school bus driver. He loved cooking, making wine, hunting, fishing, wood crafting. He was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lenard and Stella Mae Albritton; sister, Magdeline Woods; brother, Edward Albritton and nephew, Jimmy Woods.
Mr. Albritton is survived by his wife of fifty years, Hazel Albritton of Atmore; two sons, Timothy Wayne (Bethany) Albritton and Olan Ray (Geri Lyn) Albritton, all of Nokomis, Ala.; one daughter, Terri Albritton (Terrence) Breckenridge of Nokomis; two sisters, Eunice (Rodney) Williams of Crestview, Fla. and Dot Nall of Nokomis, Ala.; ten grandchildren, Logan Colbert, Hunter Colbert, Lylia Albritton, Addison Albritton, Silas Albritton, Drew Albritton, Chloe Morris, Temple Albritton, Sophia Morris and Shepard Albritton; four great-grandchildren, Avaiha Colbert, Zadyn Colbert, Chasyn Colbert and Rylan Colbert and friends he loved as sons, Danny Burkett, Ricky White and Scott Francis.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Ed McMillian officiating. Burial will follow at New Home Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 23, 2019 from 9:30 AM until service time at 11 a.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.

William “Bud” Franklin Lee   

Mr. William “Bud” Franklin Lee, age 74, passed away Thursday, July 18, 2019 in Pensacola, Fla. He was born in the Bethlehem Community to Coy and Lois Lee. He was a Holmes County native and resided in Westville, Fla. for many years. He retired from Smurfit-Stone Container Company after forty-one and one-half years. He loved his work family and maintained many of those relationships after retirement. He served in the United States Army National Guard where he received accommodations as a sharpshooter. He loved the outdoors and had a special love for horses. Bud was known as everybody’s favorite cowboy and was rarely seen without his cowboy hat. He loved the Lord and was very passionate about sharing that love with others. He was a longtime member of Carmel Assembly of God Church, Bonifay, where he was involved in many of the church activities.

Mr. Lee is survived by his wife, Rhonda Byrd-Lee of Westville; three sons, Bryan (Terri) Lee of Bonifay, Fla., Barry (Mylisa) Lee of Westville, Zack Byrd of Marianna, Fla.; daughter-in-law, Rachel Byrd of Marianna; three brothers, Roy (Judy) Lee and Dennis (Leesa) Lee, all of Bonifay, Ricky (Rhonda) Lee  of Marianna;  one sister, Mary Fay (Charles) Pettis of Bonifay; grandchildren, Rebecca, Samuel, Maegen and Abbagayle Lee; Jake Zauner, Jackson Feulner, Michael Willie, Gavin, Katlyn, and Cody Byrd; granddaughter, Amelia Mae Byrd to be welcomed in October; special friend, Irene Muniz; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Funeral services were held Monday, July 22, 2019 at 10 a.m. at Carmel Assembly of God Church with Reverends Jerry Moore, Jonathan West, and Tommy Moore officiating. Interment followed in Carmel Assembly of God Church Cemetery.
The family received friends from Sunday, July 21, 2019 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Carmel Assembly of God Church.

Griffin Parker Boyette

Infant Griffin Parker Boyette passed away Saturday, July 13, 2019 in Mobile, Ala.

Master Griffin is survived by his parents, Mitchell and Amanda Boyette of Poarch, Ala.; maternal grandparents, Darrell and Loralea Lolley of Saraland, Ala.; paternal grandparents, Daniel and Vickie Boyette of Atmore, Ala.; aunts, Peyton Boyette of Brewton, Ala. and Amie Cooper of Saraland; uncle, Steven Cooper of Chunchula, Ala. and other family.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, July 25, 2019 at 2 p.m. at Garden of Angels Cemetery in Mobile with Pastor Daniel Blaylock and Bro. Justin Morse officiating.

Shelby Dewey “Butch” Blackman

Mr. Shelby Dewey “Butch” Blackman, age 76, passed away Saturday, July 20, 2019 in Brewton, Ala. He was a native of Pensacola, Fla., former resident of Jay, Fla. where he lived twenty-seven years and had resided in Brewton, Ala. for the past nine and one-half years. He was a volunteer with the Dixonville VFD and a veteran of the Vietnam Conflict serving with the USMC as a Frogman.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Allen and Anita Blackmon; sister, Sonja Bennett and brother, Robert A. Blackmon.

Mr. Blackman is survived by his wife of fifty-five years, Jackie Blackman of Brewton; four sons, Shelby Blackman, Jr. and Jeffrey S. Blackman, both of Marianna, Fla., William O. Blackman of Mobile, Ala., and John K. Blackman of Brewton; one daughter, Pamela L. Blackmon (Anthony) Cofield of Jay; two brothers, James Ray Blackmon of Bagdad, Fla. and Clifford W. (Joyce) Blackmon of Cantonment, Fla.; one sister, Clarice Cobb of Bagdad; four grandchildren, Candice Hammac, Daris Cofield, Taylor Cofield and Kendall Blackman and six great-grandchildren, Jaden Hammac, Jeremy Hammac, Berkley Cofield, Kinsley Cofield, Addalyn Cofield and Madison Bauldree.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 25, 2019 at noon at Cornerstone Christian Church with Rev. Fredrick Barrow officiating. Burial will follow at Traveler’s Rest Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Thursday, July 25, 2019 from 11 a.m. until service time at noon at Cornerstone Christian Church.

Pallbearers will be Austin Allen, Matthew Key, Coley Daw, Mike Bennett, Tommy Bennett and Justin Bauldree.

Honorary pallbearers will be Daris Cofield and Clifford Blackmon.

Bobby “Bob” G. Bonner

Mr. Bobby “Bob” G. Bonner, age 75, passed away Monday, July 22, 2019 in Pensacola,
Fla. He retired as Tax Collector of Escambia County, Ala.; was owner of Bonner
Printing and President of Bonner Food Services, Inc. He was born in Thomaston, Ga. to the late Curtis A. and Pauline Gill Bonner. He was a member of The First Baptist Church of Atmore, Ala.

He was preceded by his parents; a sister, Betty Gaddy and two brothers, Tom
Bonner and Marvin Bonner.

Mr. Bonner is survived by his wife of fifty-two years, Patricia G. Bonner; two sons, Gil Bonner and Bo (Miranda) Bonner, all of Atmore; one brother, James Bonner, Sr. of Eufala, Ala.;
grandchildren, Jackson Bonner, Lillian Bonner and Ayden Bonner.

Funeral services will be held Friday, July 26, 2019 at 10 a.m. from The First Baptist Church
of Atmore with Rev. Arnold Hendrix and Rev. Kevin Garrett officiating. Interment will follow in Serenity Gardens.

Active pallbearers will be Jackson Bonner, Ayden Bonner, Ashley Booth, C.J. Bell, Rob Ellis, Jim Bonner, Jr, Jeff Bonner, and Robert Garcia,

The family will receive friends Thursday, July 25, 2019 from 6 to 8 p.m.at The First Baptist Church.
