A benefit for Beki Sorrells is set for this Friday and Saturday, June 21 and 22, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., at McNeil Square Apartments in Atmore. Spaghetti plates, drink included, will be available for a minimum donation of $8. Also, a limited number of cakes will be for sale, and there Beki’s granddaughter will have a cupcake and lemonade stand.
Proceeds from the benefit will go toward Beki’s medical expenses including at-home medical supplies and meds not covered by insurance.
Beki sees a doctor in Atmore and a lung and heart specialist in Pensacola. She anticipates having to go on oxygen in the next month or so.
