Pauline “Polly” Frost
Mrs. Pauline “Polly” Frost, age 92, of Atmore, Ala., passed away Tuesday, June 18, 2019. She was born in New Jersey to Paul and Melida Kasten and grew up in New Brunswick, N. J. She graduated from New Brunswick High School. Following graduation, Polly was employed by Johnson and Johnson and Maytag. She worked in Judy’s Dress Shop, office worker at Miller Disposal in Bedford, and Raytheon Corporation in Waltham, Mass. from where she retired.
She was very involved with The Bedford Women’s Community Club and a member of the First Baptist Church in Bedford. Polly was a gourmet cook and was a member of the “Gourmet Group” in Bedford. Polly was blessed with the gift of song and a beautiful voice where she sang in the church choirs all of her life. After the death of her husband she moved to Baldwinsville, N.Y, then to Atmore.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Walter Frost.
Mrs. Frost is survived by her sister, Veronica (Richard) Brown of Ohio; children, Randall (Gail) Frost of Liverpool, N.Y., Douglas (Theresa) Frost and Suzanne Bishop, all of Atmore; grandchildren, Lenore Hall, Daniel Frost, Thomas Frost, Lynette Bishop, James Bishop, Paul Frost and Sara Whitaker; fourteen great-grandchildren.
A service of the celebration of her life will be held Friday, June 21, 2019 at 5 p.m. from Johnson-Quimby Funeral Chapel with Bro. Doug Odom officiating. Interment will be held in Shawsheen Cemetery in Bedford, Mass. at a later date.
The family will receive friends Friday, June 21, 2019 from 4 p.m. until service time at 5 p.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home.

Joyce Mae Busenlehner Bolden
Mrs. Joyce Mae Busenlehner Bolden, age 83, of Atmore, Ala. was taken by her angels to be with God on Thursday, June 20, 2019. She was at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on November 6, 1935 to Clarence and Kathryne Busenlehner in Birmingham, Ala. Joyce married the love of her life, Raymond Bolden, on April 15, 1955. Joyce was very active in the Atmore community and was instrumental in getting the current Atmore Public Library built. Joyce served as the Director of the library for many years. She had many interests and hobbies but her greatest joy was serving God by helping others.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Gloria Smith.
Mrs. Bolden is survived by her husband, Raymond; her children, Randy, Debbie, Cindy, Amy; her four legged daughter, Nacho; her brothers, Clarence (Faye), Walter (Cottie) and Johnnie (Susan) Busenlehner; her sister, Carolyn Morris; her loving nephews, nieces, and great-nephews and nieces.
On behalf of Joyce, the family would like to thank everyone for their prayers and generosity. Keeping with her giving spirit, Joyce chose many years ago to donate her body to Genesis, the Medical Education and Research Institute located in Memphis, Tenn.
A funeral mass to celebrate her life will be held Saturday, June 22, 2019 at noon at Saint Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church in Atmore.
The family will receive friends Saturday, June 22, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Saint Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church with the service following.

Donald Wayne Gibson
Mr. Donald Wayne Gibson, age 64, passed away Sunday, June 16, 2019. He was a native of Atmore, Ala. and resided most of his life in the Walnut Hill, Fla. – Atmore area. He was an avid Alabama Football Fan and enjoyed dancing. He was a retired carpenter and was of the Pentecostal Holiness Faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elbert and Ida Gibson; wife of forty-two years, AtriceBea Gibson; two sisters, Janette Taylor and Bernice Defoe and two brothers, Hubbard Gibson and Otis Gibson. two sons, Donnie (Tiffany) Gibson of Waynesboro, Ga. and Greg (Sylvia) Gibson of Atmore, AL; one daughter, Joy Bernice Gibson of Huxford, Ala.; four brothers, Jerry (Connie) Gibson of Middletown, Ind., Ricky Gibson of Atmore, Tony Gibson and Larry Gibson, both of Poarch, Ala.; seven grandchildren, Blake Moye, Olivia Gibson, Caitlyn Gibson, Presley Gibson, Michaela Kirsch, Lilliana Bea Gibson and Alexander William Gibson; two great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 22, 2019 at 2 p.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Bro. Carl Wilson officiating. Burial will follow at Poarch Baptist Cemetery.

Wayne Louis Stewart
Mr. Wayne Louis Stewart, age 69, passed away Monday, June 17, 2019 in Bay Minette, Ala. He was a native and life-long resident of Bay Minette. He was a veteran of the Vietnam Conflict serving with the U.S. Army and was a member of the Rabun Church of God.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Khola and Louise Stewart.
Mr. Stewart is survived by his wife of thirty-eight years, Henrietta E. Stewart of Bay Minette; four sons, David Wayne (Christy) Stewart and Jerry Mac Merritt, all of Bay Minette, Elie Merritt, Jr. of Spanish Fort, Ala. and Kenny Ladnier of Montgomery, Ala.; two daughters, Kristie (Chris) Hadley and Kathleen Wilson, all of Bay Minette, AL ; two sisters, Laura Lee Matthews and Dianna Marie (Joe Henry) McLendon, all of Bay Minette; fifteen grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 22, 2019 at 10 a.m. at Rabun Church of God with Bro. Randall Short, Bro. Carl Smith and Sis. Helen Stewart officiating. Burial will follow at Dean Cemetery.

Willie Morris Covan
Mr. Willie Morris Covan, age 84, passed away Monday, June 17, 2019 in Milton, Fla. He was a native and life-long resident of Byrneville, Fla. He liked playing his harmonica, liked to travel, loved old country music, outdoors, and liked old movies, afternoon walking, moon pies, honey buns, oatmeal cookies and RC cola’s. He was a member of the Byrneville Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Alva Covan; two sons, Ronnie Hayes and Randy Covan; three sisters, Deloris Shiverly, Virgie Mae Kenney and Annie Ruth Necase; one brother, Theodore Sherman Covan.
Mr. Cowan is survived by his wife, Velma Aline Covan of Milton; one son, Radford (Tina) Covan of Pace, Fla.; one daughter, Recindia (Buck) McCormick of Milton; thirteen grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday, June 24, 2019 at Noon at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Bro. David Rowan officiating. Burial will follow at Byrneville Methodist Cemetery.

Barbara Jean Wilson
Mrs. Barbara Jean Wilson, age 79, of Atmore, Ala., passed away Sunday, June 23, 2019 in Atmore. She was born to the late Frank and Bessie Jackson Kent in Brewton, Ala. She had worked for Chapman Ace Hardware then was a preschool teacher for over fifteen years. She was a member of Atmore First Assembly of God serving as a Sunday school teacher and was faithful to her shut-in ministry.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Margaret Kent.
Mrs. Wilson is survived by her husband, Charles Wilson of Atmore; two sons, Dale (Connie) Hollingsworth of Jacksonville, Ala. and Shannon Charles (Tammy) Wilson of Brewton; two brothers, Ronnie Kent and Jerry (Gloria) Kent, both of Brewton; one sister, Bonnie (Jack) Shiver of Mobile, Ala.; five grandchildren, Katelyn Wilson, Wade Mesker, John Mesker, Stephen Mesker and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at 10 a.m. from Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Don Davis and Bro. Ricky Tedder officiating. Interment will follow in Serenity Gardens Cemetery.
