Taylor recognized at UWA Honors Day

LIVINGSTON, Ala. – The University of West Alabama recently recognized outstanding students for their academic achievements and leadership roles at the institution’s annual Honors Day.
During the ceremony, 19 honor society chapters on campus recognized their new and previously-inducted members. Colleges and divisions presented nearly 50 awards for special recognition and scholarship to students in their respective fields of study. In addition, the University Scholars Program recognized an outstanding scholar in each undergraduate degree program, with the recipient having been selected by faculty in the discipline based on academic performance and participation in related activities.
Jordan Taylor of Atmore, a junior at the University of West Alabama, was inducted into Phi Kappa Phi and Cardinal Key honor societies. She also received the James McGahey Theatre Excellence Award. The daughter of Julie and Jason Taylor, she is an interdisciplinary arts, theatre and art major. She is a member of Alpha Psi Omega, of which she serves as president, and Phi Eta Sigma and Lambda Sigma honor societies.
