Single Parents Raising a Gift (SPRAG), a Monroeville-based non-profit, is currently conducting “Helping Hands for Lee County,” a project through which the organization is collecting toiletry items for victims of the March 3 tornadoes that ripped across eastern Alabama.
Needed items include toothbrushes, toothpaste, hand sanitizer, soap, washcloths, lotion and deodorant. Also needed are baby wipes, diapers, mouthwash, toilet tissue, paper towels and feminine hygiene products.
The collection will be ongoing through Friday, March 22, and there are five drop-off locations, including All God’s Children Learning Development Center, 2016 Harris Street, in Atmore.
The other drop-off points are The David Burt Building in Evergreen, Main Street Family Urgent Care in Brewton, East Brewton Police Station and Monroeville Housing Authority.
