The Greater Escambia Council for the Arts’ next production might sound like it’s a show just for kids. But “The Adventures of Peter Rabbit” is for adults as well. The play is actually two stories in one – it’s about Peter Rabbit, but it’s also about the author Beatrix Potter. In addition, there are five stories within the “Adventures” which means you’ll see many actors on stage in more than one role.
Special effects and lighting will add to this production.
There are two casts for this production. One is directed by Ellen Johnson and will perform Thursday, February 21, and Saturday, February 23, at 7 p.m. The other is directed by Haley Grassia and will perform Friday, February 22, at 7 p.m., and Sunday, February 24, at 2 p.m.
Members of Ellen Johnson’s cast are Sophia Adkins, Kyiah Bailey, Josey Garner, Savannah Gilmore, Ellen Johnson, Emma Mast, Micah Mast, Amanda Miller, Casey Miller, Leah Miller, Trevor Miller, Tyler Miller, Daniel Overton, Breely Richardson, Tamra Stoltzfus, Alexis Strength, Victoria Strength, Andrew Willis, Megan Wilson.
Members of Haley Grassia’s cast are Alyssa Barber, Kolby Boothe, John Etheridge, Brooklyn Hursh, Skyler Hursh, Ellen Johnson, Finley Jones, Morgan Jury, Abby Landis, Elizabeth Landis, Lauren Smith, Matt Smith, Zach Smith, Elizabeth Terry, Autumn Thomas, Zy Thomas, Andrew Willis.
Tickets ($10 for non-members, $7 for members) are available at Atmore News, 128 S. Main Street, and will be available at the door.

Please note: The theater marquee still promotes Wrapping Up Christmas from December. The Atmore Fire Department graciously uses the ladder truck to change the letters but the truck has been unavailable recently.
