Atmore’s Elegant Ladies of Essence will sponsor a Mardi Gras parade through the city on Saturday, March 2.
The parade is set to begin at 1 p.m. from Atmore City Hall. Entrants will begin lining up at noon.
Ladies of Essence is seeking floats, cars, trucks, motorcycles and other entries to join in the fun. There is no fee to participate in the parade.
The caravan will leave city hall and turn right on Carver Avenue. From Carver it will proceed to Presley Street, then take a right on Church Street and continue to Main Street.
The group will turn right on Main, right on Ashley Street, left on Martin Luther King Drive and end at Houston Avery Park.
