ECHS grads coming back to help students

Free ACT workshop set

News Staff Report

With more students entering college, admission is getting tougher than ever.
Escambia County High School is helping students gain an advantage by offering a free ACT Prep workshop.
Save the date – Saturday, February 16, 8 a.m. until 12:30 p.m., at ECHS on South Presley Street. Lunch will be provided.
What makes this unique is that two ECHS alumni are coming back to help current students. Devante Brown and James Brooks are the creators of the non-profit The M3 Foundation and the tutoring service program Brooks STEM tutoring. Their focus is on Atmore and its young people.
The workshop features educated tutors, realistic test examples, and study skills.
Students will receive practice on the science and mathematics portion of the ACT.
After completion of the practice test, students will review problems.
This event is open to the public but registration is limited.
To register, go to www.brooksSTEMtutoring.com or www.TheM3.org/events.
