Atmore Police Chief Chuck Brooks announced Tuesday afternoon (Jan. 8) that city police are investigating the January 3 theft of a flatbed trailer from a local auto dealer.

According to a press release issued Tuesday afternoon by Brooks, Ben Odom, Sales Manager at Johnson Ford, reported to police that someone “came onto the property and stole a trailer.”

Odom described the trailer as “an 18-foot black flatbed trailer with a dovetail that had rough timber for the flooring.”

The photos included here show the suspect, his vehicle and the trailer. The police chief urged anyone who might recognize the person, the truck or the trailer, or who has any information related to the theft, to call 368-9141.
