Thomas Earl Hall, Sr.

Mr. Thomas Earl Hall, Sr., age 75, of Tifton, Ga., passed away Wednesday, May 30, 2018. He was born in Brewton to the late Leslie Hall, Sr. and Hattie Mae Hall. He was a faithful member of Second Saint Siloam Missionary Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Thomas Earl Hall, Jr.; sister, Gloria Mitchell; brothers, Willie Hall, Clarence Hall, Walter Hall and Leslie Hall, Jr.

Mr. Hall is survived by his wife, Frances Davis Hall; four daughters, Mickita Hall, Lawantda Odom, both of Brewton, Kimberly (Zickeyous) Byard of Andalusia, Ala. and want Hall of Los Angeles, Calif.; one son, Clarence Lamar Hall of Los Angeles; one brother, Billy (Joyce) Hall of Wichita Falls, Texas and a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, cousins and friends.

Funeral services were held Thursday, June 14, 2018 at Second St. Siloam Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Willie T. Blue, Pastor, officiating. Interment follow at Bethlehem Cemetery.

Pallbearers and flower bearers were his family and friends.

Myra Virginia Turk Henry

Mrs. Myra Virginia Turk Henry, age 86, of Walnut Hill, Fla., passed away Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at her residence. She was retired from Vanity Fair Mill. She was born in Choctaw County, Ala. to the late Ulin B. and Effie Myles Nordan.

She was a member of Pine Barren Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ivan Turk and her son, Robert Glenn Turk.

Mrs. Henry is survived by her sister, Georgia Dukes of Linden, Ala.; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Saturday, June 16, 2018 at 2:30 p.m. from Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with  Bro. Mike Harper officiating. Interment followed in Serenity Gardens.

Lucille Mitchell Peacock

Mrs. Lucille Mitchell Peacock, age 86, passed away Wednesday, June 13, 2018 in Mobile, Ala.

She had resided in Atmore, Ala. most of her life. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Atmore and the Order of Eastern Star, Huxford, Ala. She retired from Vanity Fair Mills after thirty-six years of service. She then went on to get a degree in Cosmetology at Reid State where she also taught for sixteen years. She retired again and stared working for Atmore Reality until full retirement.

She was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-seven years, A.J. “Jr.” Peacock and parents Robert and Nellie Mitchell.

Mrs. Peacock is survived by one daughter, Ann Peacock Gordon (Don) of Atmore and one granddaughter, Dr. Amber Gordon Butler (Brad) of Daphne, Ala..; one great-grandson, Alexander Butler and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Saturday, June 16, 2018 at 3 p.m. at First Baptist Church with Rev. Arnold Hendrix and Rev. James E. Dukes officiating. Burial followed at Pleasant Grove Cemetery.

The family received friends Friday, June 15, 2018 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were Melvin Byrd, Winston Byrd, Don Fischer, Jessie Blair, Ray Singleton, Aubrey Peacock.

Sammie Moorer

Mr. Sammie Moorer, age 94, of Walnut Hill, Fla., passed away Saturday, June 9, 2018. He was born in Selma, Ala., to the late Aldon and Maggie Moorer. His latest employment was with the City of Century, Fla. He was a great lover of gospel music and was led to the Lord while listening to this music.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Armetta Moorer; infant son, Willie C. Moorer; dearest daughter, Minister Claretha Russell; six siblings, Classie (Andrew) Fountain, John (Ruthie) Moorer, Willie (Eulene) Moorer, Walter Moorer, Willie Clyde Moorer and Arvie Moorer.

Mr. Moorer is survived by thirteen children, Samuel Moorer, Jr., David (Dorothy) Moorer, Mack Ernest (Ilene) Moorer, Annie Joyce (David) Malettey, Barbara Jean (late Benjamin) Easley, Alice Smith, Irma (Raymond) Redmond, Don (Vernell) Moorer, Daniel (Yvonne) Moorer, Irvine (Cynthia) Moorer, Sharon (Steve) Powell, Latasha (Jeffery) Fountain, Serena Franklin and son-in-law, Ervin Russell; thirty-three grandchildren; eighty-two great-grandchildren and fourteen great-great-grandchildren; two sisters-ion-law, Lula Moorer and Flossie Moorer; special sister-in-law, Mildred Peacock and the entire Peacock family; host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Saturday, June 16, 2018 at 1 p.m. at House of Prayer, Walnut, Hill with Pastor Danny E. Fountain, officiating. Interment followed in New Saint Paul Baptist Church Cemetery, Walnut Hill.

Pallbearers were his grandsons.

Flower bearers were his granddaughters.

Donald Nall 

Mr. Donald Nall, age 69, of Atmore, Ala., passed away Friday, June 8, 2018. He was born to the late John Henry and Letitia Conway Nall. He was retired from Masland Carpets with over forty-seven years of service. He was an evangelist of the word of God for the Pentecostal Faith and was an avid quail hunter and fishermen.
Mr. Nall is survived by his wife, Annette Morris Nall of Huxford, Ala.; children, Jonathan Bradley (Olena) Nall of Cantonment, Fla., Philip Brandon Nall and Thomas Matthew Nall, both of Huxford; grandchildren, Vanessa Lauren Nall and Ronan Bradley Nall.
Funeral services were held Monday, June 18, 2018 at 3 p.m. from Atmore Memorial Chapel with Bro. Michael Montgomery officiating. Interment followed in Sardis Primitive Baptist
Cemetery at Huxford.

Charles E. Reynolds

Mr. Charles E. Reynolds, age 79, of Atmore, Ala., passed away Saturday, June 9, 2018. He was born in Atmore to the late Reynolds Sr. and Annie L. Reynolds. He was employed at Falk Corporation, Milwaukee, WI. for thirty five years. He was a faithful member of Gaines Chapel AME Church where he joined the Men Ministry, Male choir and Senior Choir.

He was preceded in death by brother and sister-in-law, Harold (Alberta) Jackson.

Mr. Reynolds is survived by his wife, Mary; three brothers, Allen Reynolds, Jr., of Denver, Colo., Johnny Lee and Volley Reynolds; sisters, Florastein Jackson of Gary, Ind. And Annie Ruth (Elmo) of El Paso, Texas; nine grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and loving friends.

Funeral services were held Saturday, June 16, 2018 at 10 a.m. at Gaines Chapel A.M.E. Church with Rev. Amos Smith, Pastor, officiating. Interment followed at Fairview Cemetery.

Auxiliary pallbearers were Charles Reynolds, Jr., Allen Reynolds, Jr., Denzil Crosby, Victor Reynolds, Elliot Jackson, Marcus Wi9lliams.

Pallbearers were Michael Reynolds, Kaurean Reynolds, Derrick Riley, Volley Reynolds, Jr., Keith Reynolds, Michael Reynolds, Jr.

Flower bearers were his nieces.

Rayford Eugene Caraway        

Caraway

Mr. Rayford Eugene Caraway, age 61, of McCullough, Ala., passed away at his residence Thursday, June 14, 2018. He was a truck driver. He was born in McCullough to James H. and Doris Linam Caraway. He was a member of McCullough Christian Center.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Doris Caraway; a brother, Larry Caraway.
Mr. Caraway is survived by his wife, Kim Weaver Caraway; his father, James H.
Caraway; one son, Justin Caraway; one daughter, Michelle (Colt) Morris, all of McCullough; four grandchildren, Mia Morris, Bradi Morris, Colton Morris and Hamp Morris.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at noon from the McCullough
Christian Center with Bro Cornelius Phillips officiating. Interment followed in Judson Cemetery.
The family received friends Tuesday, June 19, 2018 from 10 a.m. until service time at noon at the McCullough Christian Center.

Ms. Merline Rabb, age 78, of Conn., formerly of Atmore, Ala., passed away Friday, June 15, 2018 at St. Francis Hospital in Conn.

Marilyn M. Ross

Mrs. Marilyn M. Ross, age 68, of Poarch, Ala., passed away Friday, June 15, 2018 in
Atmore, Ala. She was a homemaker. She was born in Atmore to the late M.C. and Hattie Lou Presley Morris.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Eugene R. Ross and a son, Berry L. Ross.
Mrs. Morris is survived by one son, Steven (Regina) Ross of Poarch; three brothers, Mack Morris of Pensacola, Fla., J.R. Morris of McDavid, Fla., David Morris of Perdido, Ala.; four sisters, Mary Bell McGhee of Atmore, Annette Nall of Huxford, Ala., Lannette Turberville of Uriah, Ala. and Gailette Moore of Atmore; four grandchildren, Elliot Ross, Troy Ross, Alex Ross, and Abby Ross; two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 20, 20l8 at 1 p.m. from The Friendly Holiness
Church with Bro. Ray Ward and Bro. Don Davis officiating. Interment will follow in New Home Cemetery at Poarch.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, June 19, 2018 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at The Friendly Holiness Church.

Walter Gulley      

Master Sergeant Walter Winston Gulley, age 77, of Troy, Ala., passed away Friday, May 25, 2018 in Troy. He was born in Robinsonville, Ala. to the late Walter Byron and Allie Blackmon Gulley. He was retired from U. S. Air Force after serving for twenty years and also from the Civil Service as a Weather Technician at Troy Municipal Airport

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Yvonne Gulley and brother, Bill gulley; daughter-in-law, Janet Aurd Gulley.

Funeral services were held Friday, June 1, 2018 at 11 a.m. from the Green Hills Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bo Weed officiating Burial with full military honors followed in Green Hills Memorial Park Cemetery.

The family received friends on hour prior to service time at Green Hills Funeral Home.

Master Sergeant Gulley is survived by his wife, Jean Gulley of Troy; children, Scott (Ann) Gulley and Melissa Gulley, all of Montgomery, Ala and Mark (Leah) Gulley of Matthews, N.C.; step-children, Terry Whittington of Atlanta, Ga. and Sharon McGraw of Lafayette, La; grandchildren, Hope, Karel, Allan, Joy, Elizabeth, Mark, Jr. and Rebecca Gulley; step-grandchild, Amanda Boyles; step-great-grandchildren, Joseph, Liam and Noah; brothers, Joe Gulley of Atmore, Ala., James Gulley of Pensacola, Fla. and Tom Gulley of Springfield, Tenn.

Ms. Brenda Hudson, age 53, of Atmore, Ala., passed away Friday, June 15, 2018 in Fairfield, Calif.

Roy Alexander Baggett

Mr. Roy Alexander Baggett, age 76, passed away on Saturday, June 16, 2018 in Pensacola, Fla. He was a native of Uriah, Ala. and had resided in Atmore, Ala. for the past forty-four years. He was a retired Correctional Officer (State of Alabama) with thirty-two years of service. Was an avid fisherman, hunter, worked the gate at the race track, mechanic, auto, lawnmowers, tractors and etc. He was a member of the New Beginnings Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leroy and Zadie Baggett and one brother, Douglas Baggett.

Mr. Baggett is survived by his wife of fifty-three years, Evie Baggett of Atmore; one son, Rex Alexander (Stephanie) Baggett of Atmore; two grandchildren, Lindsey Baggett and Clay Dall, both of Atmore; three brothers, Ronald (Linda) Baggett of Atmore, William (Janice) Baggett of Lottie, Ala. and Kenneth (Patricia) Baggett of Uriah; four sisters, Bobbie Lee Stinston of Frisco City, Ala., Sharon (Sam) Tuberville of Uriah, Mary Ann (Edward) Stuart of McKenzie, Ala. and Lois Baggett of Poarch, Ala.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at 3 p.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Ricky Peebles officiating. Burial will follow at Little Rock Cemetery.
