Eli Gold, the voice of the Crimson Tide Radio Network, will be the keynote speaker for the Escambia County, Alabama Chapter of The University of Alabama Alumni Association announces that 2018 spring scholarship banquet that benefits students from Escambia County.
“In addition to graduates/alumni of UA, we also cordially invite friends of The University to be a member of our local chapter and join us for our annual scholarship banquet,” Chapter President Spinks Megginson said. “You do not have to be an alum/grad to join or to attend the banquet! In fact, we would love nothing more than to ‘pack the house’ for Eli Gold and to raise even more funds for our local scholarships.”
This banquet is the local chapter’s annual fundraising event to build scholarship funds that are strictly used by students from Escambia County, Ala. The banquet will begin promptly at 6 p.m., Thursday, May 24, at The Hourglass in downtown Brewton. Dinner will be catered by Camp 31 BBQ.
The cost for the banquet is $25 per person. The annual membership fee is $15 per person or $25 per family. All proceeds fund local scholarships.
You must RSVP via email (spinks@ua.edu) by May 15th to Spinks Megginson if you plan to attend the banquet. Membership and dinner dues will be taken at entry to the banquet.
