The public is invited and strongly encouraged to attend a meeting Wednesday, April 25, at the Strand, at noon. Lunch will be served.
The Downtown Revitalization Final Draft will be presented at this time.
Principal Community Planner Zack Mannheimer of McClure Engineering, who was hired to formulate the downtown rehabilitation plan, will present the plan he and the Steering Committee have been working on for months.
Mannheimer’s services were secured in October when Pride of Atmore Committee was awarded a $40,000 Delta Regional Authority Creative Placemaking Grant.
Delta Regional Authority Director Alex Holland from Washington, D.C. is also expected to be at the meeting.
“We need full community input and support for this very important effort to change the face of downtown Atmore,” Pride of Atmore Chairman Bub Gideons said.
“Your participation is important as we endeavor to include as many folks as possible.”
