A Wednesday afternoon (March 21) structure fire caused moderate fire damage and heavy smoke damage to a South Presley Street home.
City firefighters were sent to the residence, about a block north of Escambia County High School, shortly before 2 p.m.
AFD Capt. Daniel Love said at the scene that the blaze was contained to the back room of the house, and that it was “electrical in nature.”
