United Bank donates books to ACM students

ECMS students earn Six Flags tickets
Students at Escambia County Middle School recently participated in a reading program sponsored by Six Flags Theme Parks. The program encourages students in kindergarten through sixth grade to read for fun. At ECMS, every fifth- and sixth-grade student who completed six hours of recreational reading and returned their reading log was presented a free admission ticket to Six Flags over Georgia.

Perdido School participates in battle of books
North Baldwin Battle of the Books is an annual reading competition event open to all fifth-, sixth-, seventh-, and eighth-grade students in the area served by Baldwin County High School. Students at participating schools read five chapter books (five sets of the required reading titles provided by a grant from the North Baldwin Coalition for Excellence in Education – NBCEE). Throughout the entire school year, students discuss and study these books…
Reader Leaders celebrate Spring Fling
On Tuesday May 2, 143 first- through sixth-grade students were invited to a day of skating and bowling, along with lunch, at the Bay Minette Recreation Complex for earning their Accelerated Reader (AR) goal points requirement with at least an 85 percent overall comprehension average.
