Reviving a community tradition
To the editor: The Canoe Civic Club is pleased to announce it will host Canoe Community Homecoming on November 18, from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. This will be a family friendly, community event that will hopefully become an annual tradition. ‘Poppy Month’ proclamation issued – Council OKs resolutions for airport grant, new IDA members
Atmore City Council members approved two resolutions during their October 23 meeting — one in acceptance of the latest in an ongoing series of airport grants, the other to appoint three representatives to a joint industrial authority. Mayor Jim Staff then issued a proclamation in recognition of local veterans. Glover speaking at Zion Star
Zion Star A.M.E. Zion Church with Pastor Humphrey Shuford will host Fall Revival featuring guest speaker Evangelist Tony Glover. Services are Monday through Wednesday, October 30, 31 and November 1, at 7 p.m. nightly. This revival is based on revelatory and prophetic warnings.
