Working around the 4th
Monday holidays sometimes pose a problem for us, with our print deadline being on Tuesday. However, July 4th presents a real challenge. Alabama’s Back-to-School Sales Tax Holiday will, for the first time in its 12-year existence, be observed in July instead of August. Shoppers across Escambia County will begin paying an extra penny on their purchases when the county’s new sales tax goes into effect on Saturday, July 1.
