Mary Barbara Ricketts Jay
Mrs. Mary Barbara Ricketts Jay, 75 years old, passed away Monday, April, 17, 2017, after a brief illness in Pensacola, Fla. She was born in Morganfield, Ky. to the late Williams and Margaret Ricketts. She joined the United States Navy in April 1964. She served with the United States Navy at the Surgical Clinic Navy Hospital until her honorable discharge in April 1967. She was very proud to have served her country.

She was employed as secretary/bookkeeper at A.C. Moore Elementary School for a number of years. Mary was a faithful Catholic. She read her prayers daily. She was a member of St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, Atmore, Ala., and while staying with her daughter in Brewton, Ala. she attended St. Maurice Catholic Church, Brewton.

She had 4 brothers (Donald, Billy, Mike, and Tim) and 4 sisters (Sue, Peggy, Bettie, and Lois).

Mrs. Jay is survived by her children, Sharon Jay Stearns (Todd), Randy Jay (Joyce), Ronnie Jay (Martha), Roger Jay, Linda Johnson (Chris), Robin Jay (Stephen) and Charlene Pugh (Larry); many grandchildren; great grandchildren; and Jimmy Jay, her life-time partner.

Funeral services were held Friday, April 21, 2017 at 10 a.m. from the St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church with Rev. Patrick Madden and Rev. Arulappan Jayaraj officiating, Interment followed in Oak Hill Cemetery.

The family received friends Thursday, April 20, 2017 from 6 to 8 p.m.at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel.

Norvie Lee McGhee, Jr.
Mr. Norvie Lee McGhee, Jr., age 80, of Rainbow City, Ala., passed away Friday, April 14, 2017.

He was the son of the late Norvie Lee McGhee, Sr. and Gladys Presley McGhee of Atmore, Ala. He was a tribal member of the Poarch Creek Band of Indians. He retired from Goodyear after thirty-four years of service in 1998.

He was preceded in death by his siblings, Louise Turner, Early McGhee and Cecil McGhee (Southside).

Mr. McGhee is survived by his wife, LuAnn Moss McGhee; four children, Robert McGhee, Lynette McGhee Riggan, David McGhee and Laurie McGhee Morgan; grandchildren, Jordan, Johnathan, Taylor, Hannah, Christopher, Tristan, Dalton, Alexandra, Katherine, and Zoe; siblings, Eloise Ramer (Glencoe), Douglas McGhee, Betty Jean McVey, Hazel Albritton, Ronnie McGhee and Huey McGhee.

Graveside services were held Thursday, April 20, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the New Home Cemetery with Rev. Ray Ward of Friendly Holiness Church, officiating.

The family received friends Wednesday, April 19, 2017 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were Rodney McVey, Tim Albritton, Jason McGhee, Allen Turner, Gwen McGhee and Jeremy McGhee.

Honorary pallbearers were Clint Ramer, Eddie Ramer, Wendell Ramer, Olan Albritton, Sammy McVey, Gary McVey, Matthew McGhee, Michael McGhee, Mark McGhee, Edward Turner and Brian McGhee.

Aubrey Barney King
Mr. Aubrey Barney King, age 75, of Atmore Ala., passed away Tuesday, April 18, 2017. He was born in Georgiana, Ala. to the late Giles Edward and Vivan Armittie Sasser King.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Charles Allen King.

Mr. King is survived by his wife of forty-five years, Bonnie King of Atmore; six children, Stacie (Steve) Gardner, Ted (Kristy) Barlow, Jason (Mona) King, Larry Barlow (Robin Gregson), Jamie King (Nikie Dixon), and Karen (Hobbs) Calvert; twenty-eight grandchildren and twenty-eight great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral services were held Thursday April 20, 2017 at 1 p.m. from Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jonathan McCullough and Bro. Ricky Fretwell officiating.

Active pallbearers were Joshua King, Brandon King, Dale Barlow, Tyler McGlothlin, Jesse Barlow, Bryan Gregson, Aaron Gregson and Dakota Barlow.

Honorary pallbearers were Shane Bowman, Sammy Southard, Cody Phillips and James Phillips.

Clara Ouida Meadows Eubanks
Mrs. Clara Ouida Meadows Eubanks, age 82, of Bay Minette, Ala., passed away Tuesday, April, 18, 2017 in Century, Fla. She was a retired supervisor with Vanity Fair Mills. She was born in Escambia County, Ala to the late Dence D. and Mamie Goodson Donaldson.

She is preceded in death by her parents and six siblings.

Mrs. Eubanks is survived by two sons, Joseph L. (Pamela G.) Meadows, Jr. of Dothan, Ala. and Roger G. Meadows of Bay Minette; one sister, Joyce Seale of Atmore, Ala.; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Friday, April 21, 2017 at 3 p.m. from Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. John Montalvo officiating. Interment followed in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Active pallbearers were Gary Donaldson, Jason Donaldson, Wade Williams, Brandon Phillips, and Sam Donaldson.

Honorary pallbearer was Kevin Presley.

Stephen Curtis Klinger
Mr. Stephen Curtis Klinger, age 64, passed away Monday, April 17, 2017 in Pensacola, Fla. He was a native of Carlisle, Pa. and has resided in Atmore, Ala. for the past seven years. He was passionate, loving, loved family, church, God and his country. He was retired from the USMC and veteran of Vietnam.

He was a recipient of the Purple Heart. He was engineer and carpenter. He also served Mental Disabled people. He was a member of the Atmore Baptist Temple.

Mr. Klinger is survived by his wife, Danna Klinger of Atmore; one son, James Klinger of Clanton, Ala.; two daughters, Jennifer Klinger of Colorado Springs, Colo.; one sister, Lucy Klinger of Carlisle, Pa.; seven grandchildren, Destiny Klinger, Travon Klinger, Lanaiya Klinger, Janelle Klinger, Joshua Klinger, Alanjha Klinger and Jolene Klinger and one great-grandchild, Elijah Lyons.

Memorial services were held Sunday, April 23, 2017 at 6 p.m. at Atmore Baptist Temple with the Rev. Doug Odom officiating.

Marie Roberson Lambeth
Mrs. Marie Roberson Lambeth, age 67, passed away Saturday, April 22, 2017 in Jay, Fla. She was a native and life-long resident of McDavid, Fla. She was a retired employee of Vanity Fair and was an employee of the Pic & Save in Brewton, Ala. She was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her husband, F.W. Lambeth; parents, W.C. and Mollie Roberson; sister, Irene Jones and brother, Bennie C. Roberson.

Mrs. Lambeth is survived by her two step-sons, Freddie (Peggy) Lambeth of Robinsonville, Ala. and Teddy (Shannon) Lambeth of Flomaton, Ala.; one sister, Frances Roberson of McDavid, Fla. and one nephew, Joe Roberson of Opelika, Ala.

Funeral services were held Monday, April 24, 2017 at 3 p.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. J.P. Lambeth officiating. Burial followed at Traveler’s Rest Cemetery.

The family received friends Monday, April 24, 2017 from 2 p.m. until service time at 3 p.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were Leslie Barnes, Dwight Hopkins, Billy Martin, James Emmons, Cliff Emmons and Jack Godwin.
