Mark your calendar for Mayfest Saturday, May 6.
First on the schedule is the Mayfest Walk-Run-Roll 5K at 8 a.m., hosted by Grace Fellowship. You can pick up a registration form at Grace Fellowship or at the Chamber office. Pre-registration is $20 by April, 26. After that date the cost is $25.
One of the most popular events at Mayfest is the Beautiful Baby contest for ages three months to three years. This begins at 9:45 a.m. on the Gazebo Stage. You can pick up an application at the Chamber or at Just 4 Kids.
Following the Beautiful Baby contest, entertainment is scheduled during the day beginning with Twirl Time.
This year’s line up on the Gazebo Stages is as follows:
9:15 a.m. – 9:45 Front Porch Pick’in (jam session)
12 p.m. – 1 p.m. Richard Bowen
1:30 p.m. – 2:45 p.m. Ricky Crook & the Horseshoe Halo
3 p.m. – 4 p.m. Hunter Dettling
4 p.m. – 5 p.m. Front Porch Pick’in (jam session)
The jam session will include various musicians and any other local player they invite to sit in.
As always at Mayfest, you’ll find plenty of arts and crafts, children’s rides and activities, and great food.
