Creative Soul recording artist George Tifft will be in Atmore for a special concert Saturday, April 22, 6 p.m., at Bethel United Methodist Church.
Embarking on what has been dubbed the “Do Good Tour” in June of 2015, George and his wife Cindy have been touring the United States continuously since.
They have traveled over 24,000 miles and will have performed over two hundred concerts before their arrival at Atmore.
The “Do Good Tour” centers around encouraging people to just “do good.”
“We live in a day and age when doing the right thing has become a challenge,” Tifft said. “So many voices are attempting to get us to follow along with the status quo rather than standing up for what we know to be right.”
Tifft weaves his personal testimony into his concert presentations.
“Having been molested by a priest when I was a young boy affected me greatly,” he said. “It led to many years in prison, multiple suicide attempts and more counseling than I’d care to admit … But the ultimate healing finally came when I surrendered all of it to Christ. Jesus still heals, ya know!”
The concert at Bethel is free and open to all. A free will offering will be received.
The church is located at 5191 Highway 21, Atmore.
