Santa gave up his sleigh for a carriage Thursday evening, December 14, as he arrived in Atmore for the Santa on Main event. Downtown was alive (much as in “the old days”) with activity. Cold winter rain caused Santa to cancel his December 7 appearance in downtown Atmore, but the Jolly Old Elf will make up for that absence this Thursday, December 14, when Atmore Area Chamber of Commerce presents its belated Santa on Main event.
