Spelling bee held
News Staff Report Escambia County public schools spelling bee was held Wednesday, January 16, in the Flomaton High School media center. Students participated in two groups – grades 3 through 5 and grades 6 through 8. The countywide school spelling bee will be held Tuesday, February 5, 9 a.m., in the Flomaton High School media center. Only the winner from each group will participate.
Top speller
Four students from across the county competed in a countywide spelling bee Wednesday, February 8. The top speller was Jaelyn Bloodsworth who will compete in the state bee March 11 in Montgomery.
