Celebrity waiters make a splash
David’s Catfish was packed out Monday evening as the owners gave First National Bank & Trust the restaurant for the annual Celebrity Waiter event. This year’s fare included crawfish, shrimp, corn, potatoes and sausage. Proceeds benefited the Atmore Splash Pad. A crew from Spanish Fort-based Polygon Inc. works April 16 to finish the concrete that will serve as the base for Atmore’s first-ever water-themed playground. A spokesperson for Atmore Rotary Club reported that the 2,000 square-foot play area, which costs in excess of $150,000, is on track to meet its pre-Memorial Day ribbon-cutting target.
Breaking ground – Splash pad dream will soon become a reality
Atmore Rotary Splash Pad moved one step closer this week to becoming a reality.
