Atmore firefighters and police officers, along with Alabama Power technicians, were wrapping things up around 1:45 p.m. at the scene of a fire that significantly damaged a Liberty Street mobile home. These Atmore firefighters visited the Atmore Public Library Summer Reading Program Friday, June 23. Topics they went over with the kids included Stop, Drop, Cover (your fact), and Roll, and having a meeting place outside with family members in case of a fire. AFD fights illegal controlled burns – One citation issued
Atmore firefighters had to extinguish two separate fires on Friday (April 14), each the result of a controlled burn that was illegally set, including one that resulted in a citation.
